I expect the Consulate in Egypt has listed a police "no crime" report or equivalent. If you've already secured that within the past few months, that will do. Only mention anything new if asked about it.

i don't think you have to mention anything about it at the embassy cause i think it will be against you at the embassy if you will talk about it .(i think you know how they are at the usa embassy they try to find anything to give you problems so don't give them that chance )

once its not at the court yet so it will not show up on the police record .

good luck (F)

It was my understanding that the DS-230 required a police certificate from each place you've resided in longer than 6 months. Did you submit that with your DS-230?

I agree with pushbrk in that you shouldn't necessarily offer up the information. However, I would recommend that you do be prepared with documents etc that pertain to the court charge should the topic arise.

Good luck with your interview! :)

hi everybody

i got my interview, it went well,it just took less than 5 minutes, the consular was very nice gentleman. anyways i went when i was ready to admit it if i were asked about this court charges with documents. but as i said it was short , and he did not even ask more than four questions. but he gave me a white paper which is 221g , more Administrative process aka name checks...so now im worried they might know about it through their checks , and be a problem that i did not mention it ? so what do you think ?

Again I would say if it comes up in their investigation you can explain it and inshallah it will be no problem. The bigger issue though would be that court dates don't normally get set for a good year or so in the future so you might have to wait to come here until this is settled. Good luck.
