Hi there! I just have a few question. When I received my Appointment Notice for Biometrics in the mail my name was misspelled. One letter was missing. When I called the 800 number of USCIS they said they can't do anything about it but just tell the Biometrics people about the missing letter. I went to the Biomterics office and told the officer about it. He also told me that they can't do anything about it. Hhhhmmm.... but apparently, I saw after he did the Biometircs and my name is needed in one of the spaces, he wrote the correct one. He made me checked on it several times. On all the forms that I have submitted I-130 etc... i wrote my name correctly so I am sure this was some kind of typo error they have created. Is this gonna affect me any way?

Another question. When I got married, i decided I would like to have a hyphenated surname. This appeared on my marriage contract. When we were filling up my immigration forms, since my last name is too long already, we just decided to put my husband's surname to shortened it. Is this ok?

thanks

If you checked it and it's alright I would say that the name on your GC will be correct

2. No problem you decide which name it goes as long as it's your old last name, a combination of your husband's and yours or your husband's.
