Hi all, We filed for I-130 for my husband and then K3 ( fiance visa to bring him quicker )

I don't know if it makes a difference or not but both of our petitions eventually got approved together on the same day and we got the K3.

My question now - when my spouse comes to USA will he be able to get a temporary work permit by a K3 or is that only valid with an approved I-130 Immigration Petition? I'm having trouble understanding the K3 visa and all the benefits that come with it besides having my spouse next to me quicker?

Thanks in Advance

The single benefit of the K3 is that is generally obtained more quickly than an immigrant visa. When your husband arrives, you will need to help him apply for adjustment of status, which includes request for work authorization. The work authorization usually only takes a few months though since they do it before adjustment of status is completed. Once he has the EAD (employment authorisation document), he can apply for an SSN (should only take a couple weeks) and work for any US employer.
