usually people select their US spouse as their agent and send him/her their signed DS-230 and use some shortcuts to process faster.

if you talking about lawyers in india then trust me it is wastage of time they dont know any better, when i was about to start my process i asked so many of them, one of them want to send me to canada or US on study visa and telling me that the spouse will take 2 years

he was suggesting me to go through student visa after that i can get spouse visa easily.i thought what rubbish.

Another agent want me to direct apply to india and told me that i just need to stay in india for 2month and after 2 more months i will get the visa but when i e-mailed Delhi Embassy the process was changed their demand is either stay in india for three months or file from US.

i think he taking about lawyer or agency who is dealing with IV process.

just send in the form your self, save the money on postage fee

I would just rather use US based spouse as agent so that mail time is shortened because you will be handling all the documents instead of NVC sending everything to your beneficiary in India. Plus, your beneficiary in India also can save on postage

Also, your information shows that you filed for K-3 visa but your timeline shows CR-1/IR-1 related information. One of them is not correct. Can you please update the information for other members to see.....
