That's only a kaffiyeh if you're on crack. It's a checked pattern! Oh noes the terrorists will come for our herringbones next.

I can't see it very clearly in the photograph, but the pattern appears to be that of a keffiyeh. (Arafat's trademark version was a loose herringbone pattern, but there are also some with a much tighter pattern. I have both kinds, as well as the red-and-white versions.)

But the fringe is completely wrong -- authentic keffiyehs don't have that, just long tassels on the 4 corners. What Ray is wearing is apparently some Western fashion designer's "idea" of a keffiyeh.

Anyway, the keffiyeh is the Palestinian version of a HAT, for crying out loud. As someone already pointed out, it was worn long before there WAS an Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and it is fairly common in several other countries as well. Is anyone who wears a bandanna considered to be "supporting" bank robbers ?

Aiii chihuahua.... just imagine the reaction if someone was to try to characterize the kippa as some "symbol of murderous Kahanist terror".... This whole uproar is utterly ridiculous.

Michele Malkin is a ####### and Dunkin Donuts are tits for taking any notice and pulling the advert.

That being said, I don't know who Rachel Ray is, nor do I care and I have never been into a Dunkin Donuts and don't intend to.

Oh and for the record, I think this whole business is POLITICAL CORRECTNESS gone tits up!

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

The question is why, sir?

Do you hate freedom?

I don't hate US. We have more choice and oppertunity than other countries. The US isn't free enough IMO, but we have more the rest of the world. I'm free to like or dislike anything. Wear whatever I want.

Michelle Malkin has now ruined her chances of ever being able to wear a scarf herself in public. Especially one w/ black and/or white.

She also misspelled Rachael Ray's name several times in her blog.

I'm a bit surprised that Dunkin' Donuts succumbed to that horse$#it. I don't imagine they expected this story to get so much publicity. Then again, maybe they did...

Mmm...donuts.

Wow. You don't even try to hide your hatred for freedom and democracy and the American way, do you?

Nowhere do I even infer that I dislike the US, republicanism, or the American way. If you knew me, I am one of the most patriotic people you would meet. Do I dislike some of the thing Gov't does, of course. Does that make me an America hater? No.
