Is it equally as wrong to deny a man the sexual love of his dog/sheep/insert any other animal here as well? Or does that only apply to "love" you consider OK?

Some people go to far with tolerance..... we don't have to tolerate immorality that corrupts the society as a whole. We tolerate way too much these days. I don't mean we should form lynch mobs or personally attack anyone but it used to be against the law and it should be again today IMHO.

There is nothing wrong with sex between two consenting adults. A dog or a sheep doesn't agree to having sex with a human. Unless there's some special dog or sheep code for "do me now" that I don't know about.

I will honestly never understand this way of thinking and don't quite know how to respond to it without sounding like a complete ######. Corrupts the society as a whole. Hogwash. Gay couples living their life together does not affect you in the least. It doesn't take away from your marriage, or your love for your family, or your love for your God.

Threads like this always wind up making me more than a little sad. And a little less hopeful for the world in general.

There can be a lot wrong with sex between two consenting adults... For instance, what if a man and his grown daughter consent to sex together.... or a man and his sister? Both grown and consenting mind you.... ?

What if both consenting adults are married to other, not so consenting adults? Still OK? Will we be doing away with the adultery laws?

To tell you the truth, I really don't care. Would I want to have sex with my father? Hell no. I would think that the people involved were kind of whacked but they don't need to go to jail over it either.

The married issue you brought up is trickier, didn't think of that one. Again though, law shouldn't have anything to do with it. If someone is cheating on their spouse then they should probably be wondering if they should be married at all. Not really my place to judge unless I'm one of the people directly involved.

The church teaches some good ideas too but if the church thinks it's ok to teach intollerance then I have no time for it.

Well, for the record, PH, the Catholic church preaches "hate the sin, not the sinner" and that means homosexuality may be considered a sin, but it is not our job as Catholics to hate the people. Of course now some smart azz will say "well, Catholics think having sex with young boys is acceptable too" so really, intolerance is intolerance...

You don't have to agree with the way people live their lives quite right, but yet you think it's ok to label those who live their lives differently as sinful? Having intollerance as central to a belief system is a mighty strange way to behave.

Oh, and it's not a quesion of whether I like, or don't like the idea of sin it's a question of whether it's acceptable to deny people basic human comforts such as love, just because some nut jobs can't tolerate something they consider abnormal.

Where is adultery against the law? It is against biblical law, but there are also quite a few things in the bible that are "illegal" (especially old testament) that would be ludicrous to consider as illegal today. In many states adultery isn't even allowed to be brought up in divorce cases.

And comparing homosexuality to a man having sex with his daughter is also a bit ludicrous, IMHO.
