This topic brings out the best in people doesn't it.

It sure does, it is good to see hatred and prejudiced still is alive and kicking

Kinda like the pic of Jesus with the hand gun? :bonk::wow:

I think you'd have to be very thin-skinned to be offended by something like that.

Yes, the towel...

And I wonder why Alhamdulillah ignored my last few posts.

But I do not take offense.

:star:

Because I don't have any cupcakes or candy canes to hand out and all my unicorns ran away last night

That's okay, I have my bottle of bubbles.

Maybe you feel my remarks to be too fluffy.

They are corny, it's true...however try talking about getting along and being compassionate et al, and see if you can make it sound anything but.

I do not mind risking sounding floofy for a greater purpose: love and connection.

Religion is about faith.

I do not subscribe to some guys' writings on the path to being in "heaven" after I die.

My FIL let go of his body a few weeks ago, and he is still with me in spirit....there is no death (isn't that why people say passing?).

There is a funny story about how he "helped me from the other side" to win a bet. Ha!

Not that I bet frequently...

And I am digressing.

Like I said, I am 100% sure that in every family there are members of various sexual orientations.

Do any of you people without tolerance believe you are helping the world be a better place?

(oh boy now I am sure I've done it...bah!)

Let's accept what is.

Move on.

And if that means I should accept people with views I don't agree with, so be it.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

The world as we know it probably does have to 'end' but it's not the gays who are causing the problems, after all, they can't procreate and so can't add to the ever growing global population...

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Even though that was in bad taste, I have seen much worse posted.

It might have something to do with having a negative connotation. If you perceive something as negative you blast them for being a hater but when you yourself throw negatives around you find solice in your ignorance. Therefore trying to have a conversation about it, is impossible.

I wasn't offended by the picture, as I'm not easily offended. I just didn't find it amusing.

I didn't find it amusing because I view Jesus as the Prince of Peace.

Perhaps the irony (though understood) didn't amuse me.

I'd say an off-color cartoon picture of Jesus (or Mohammed for that matter) is a pretty small deal next to the wholesale defamation and repression of an entire group of people.

The OP article is essentially about a city mayor who is denying a parade permit (and by extension - the constitutionally protected freedoms) to a specific group of people based on (apparently) on his own personal biases.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
