Hi All fellow vjer's!

My fiance just recently got an email confirmation that our I-129F petition has been approved and that they mailed the notice last May 15, 2008.

i have the K1 flowchart as a guide on to the next step. i heard from a friend that there are instances that the Embassy would require personal appearance of me & my fiance. is this required?

I'm new here. Please help...

Congratulations on your approval!!! I am not sure if there are instances when the fiance is required at the interview. I wasn't at the interview when Ruchie had hers. She passed and got her Visa. Good Luck to you!

please include the dates when you sent your I-129F and dates when you received your NOA1 and NOA2.

also the service center where you filed it.

Jun 27 - NOA2 by the mailbox!!! (found out that d 2nd touch was d approval..sweet!)

Jul 3 - NVC sent letter to petitioner

Jul 15 - confirmation letter received (tnk u my dear DHL)

Jul 17- 1st day - medical exam SLEC (on hold and waiting for it to be done successfully) July 31- PASSED!

Aug 28 - USEM interview date! (eto' na!) - PASSED - PINK SLIP ONLY!

Don't listen to Rumors, get the Facts.

Fiance does not need to attend unless it is requested by USEM, Which is not common practice.

You need to read this PI forum and catch up.

We rec'd our NOA2 on March 5th, and her interview date is June 18th.

You need to get Manila case number, You need to schedule early medical Interview, and get your Interview date set, and pay Delbro.

The answer to your questions is no! You (the beneficiary) will be required to attend a visa interview, but your fiance (the peitioner) is NOT required to attend the visa interview. Please read Section 1 and Section 4 of the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide.

BIG CONGRATS on the NOA2.

As others have said, the USC petitioner is NOT required to attend the visa interview. There are even instances where the USC is NOT even allowed inside the interview room. Personally I think the only help the USC's presence give is to bolster morale support.

I am sure you will do great with or without your SO. :thumbs:
