Hello everyone.

I posted this on RFE thred, but I though I would post it here to receive advices from more VJers.

So, we received RFE requesting two passport style photos of us.

The thing is that we included those with our original petition.

We are not sure whether they lost it or our pics did not meet their specifications. They do not explain why...

They tell us to follow specifications on the next page... Then, there is no next page attached to the letter...

Anyway, we followed the instruction on passport style photo on Department of State website.

The size: 2inches X 2inches (5.08cm X 5.08cm)

Color with fullface frontal view

Head hight: 1 inch - 1 3/8 inches (from the top of hair to the bottom of chin)

Eye height: 1 1/8 -1 3/8inches (from bottom of the photo to eyes)

Head must be bear

Are there anything else we should pay attention to when taking passport style photo?

I am totally confused.... What was wrong with our pics?

Thanks

Nao

it's possible they lost them.

Just go and have another set taken.

That's atleast an easy RFE to overcome!

There have been cases in the past where people have received an RFE for not including enough evidence even though they sent a 7lb box full. Sometimes things get lost and sadly sometimes the adjudicators don't look through the case properly it seems. I would just send another two, its very possible they are just lost. If you are really concerned you could call the RFE line and see if they have put any notes on your case regarding the RFE. It is VERY unlikely you will get much sense from the person on the other end of the phone though.

Good Luck

I had mine taken last week, I went to a photo place that I found on the internet that stated they did these photos.

They made me put my hair back so they could see my ears, also they mentioned that your teeth should not be showing. I did ask how they met all the requirements and they said they just took the photo and it goes through a computer programme to make sure that all the requirements are met. Whilst looking for where to go there are places where you can just e-mail them a suitable picture and they will send you back the completed american size passport pics.

Hello KitEEgirl, BexandAlan and Stinky Monkey . :star:

Thank you for your suggestions. :star:

Yea...It seems that they are lost as you think...

My fiancee and I took the photos at very different places, so it is unlikely that both of our photos did not meet their specifications. Mmmm. Well, but as you say, it is a easy RFE to overcome. So, we are pretty happy about it.

Now we can finally see a light to get out of this CSC nightmare. By the way, we are stuck with them over 7 months now...RFE after 6 months of waiting hurts.... But, we will make it!!

Also, I will try to tie my hair and show my ears as Stinly Monkey suggest.

I still have two of the same pics which I sent in with an origial petition with me.

Well, I will still gonna take another photo just in case.

I will use those old pics for my interview at U.S. embassy. lol (It is expensive to take passport style photo here.... It costed me about $15 for two... I am not gonna waste them. lol)

Thank you very much for your advice. :star:

Have a great weekend.

Nao
