NVC Mail

Does anyone know why the NVC "snail mail" actually moves at that pace? I have read and followed all the VJers advise on how to move through the NVC quickly. I think I am having great success. But I am curious that when I hear the AVR system say they have sent bills, checklists, more information...that it is not arriving at my house.

Ex...AVR that the DS3032 and AOS Fee Bill was sent on 4/48/2008, actually arrived on 5/13/2008.

(Of course we had already sent the DS3002 by email and paid the AOS Fee online, and my I-864 was in the system on 5/12/2008)

I haven't received any other documentation from the NVC, and you can see, by my timeline below that we are very far along in the rest of the process. I have called and spoken to a live operator numerous times and no RFEs are indicated as yet.

Any experience or answers. I started a similiar thread, but this is just to odd, so I am asking again?

Have you received the checklist yet? Just a heads up, Peru is appointment post, meaning all documentation such as certificados, passport pictures, etc...., is now required at NVC before they schedule your interview. Keep us posted.....

Thanks for the info...I have sent everything through the NVC already. I have never received any checklists through "snail mail." I just followed process flowchart, put out by 'Lotto', which includes the online payment and coversheet printing. Our case has moved through NVC quite rapidly doing this, with no RFEs.

Just got an updated AVR on our case.

"The NVC has received the checklist letter on May23rd, 2008. Please allow 6-8 weeks for review, then you will be notified."

I think I am just waiting now for "Case Complete", scheduling of our appointment, and the sending of everythign to the embassy in Lima.

i live just less than 8 hours from NVC, and the mail get to me less than 3 days.

you may have said well that fast, according to the message it doesn't it was 3 days from the mail stamp of the mail room not the message. the message can said 5-21-08 case update but you actually won't get your mail untill june something, why because it sit in the mail room.

it could sit there for a week or two. when you received your mail check the stamp on the letter u will know. normally it only take a couple days to get to us.
