Hi everybody! I just married a wonderful Englishman 2 days ago and now the fun begins! (no honeymoon because all that money goes to the government  )

He has been in the USA(park city, ut) for 3 years on and off on 3 different H2B visas, sponsered by Park City Mountain Resort. The latest 2 have been extended (once each), including the one he is on currently. We are filing an I-130, with the G-325a, I-864(my parents are sponsering because were poor ski instructors  ), the I-765 and I-131 so he can work before his current extension expires in november and i think the I-485, the expensive one. This will hopefully change his status from non-immigrant unskilled worker to resident with a green card, I hope.

Anyway i wanted to know if anyone else has changed status with an H2B or anyone else from England.

He also has collaboma, a cleft pallet in the eyes that he was born with, He was a member on the Blind Children's society but did just get approved for a restricted utah drivers liscense. Has anyone else had problems with this?

Any tips are appreciated, I am scared that he will be forced to leave when his H2B runs out if the EAD hasn't come or if the green card dosen't come soon enough.

Can anyone reccomend lawyers in Salt Lake City?

Best wishes on your marriage!

Once you have filed the AOS/EAD/AP/I-130 and get NOAs (receipts) for the applications, your husband's status will be "adjustment applicant". He will not need to leave the US when his H2B visa expires. He should not leave the country if his H2B visa expires and he does not have an approved AP in hand yet.

Good luck!
