For a while I was expecting some VJ posters to show up at my house this weekend with axes, torches and sticks, yelling "Burn the lieing Witch" oh well.

Paris Heart

I must have misread that thread then.

Who implied you were lying about the call?

Personally I was just really curious about more specifics of what was said, because this was a positive conversation for a change (unlike the usual call back when you're a gazillion days after our posted processing times).

Hi catt,

I got 3 very ugly PM, I was not happy to see them, but seeing all those approvals yesterday was a breath of fresh air.

Good luck, have a nice weekend.

Paris Heart

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

I don't think anybody even implied she lied about the call but she did fail to deliver any actual information, as promised. There was a perfect opportunity to ask the questions the folks with cases at VSC had on their minds, and we still don't know if those questions were asked and if they were, what answers were given. Other than "We talked a long time about a lot of things and I feel better now." there simply was no actual information about what's going on at VSC contained in any "report" of the 50 minute call.

I simply wish people say they are going to do something, actually do it. The call happene but we got no information about it, not even how she managed to get through to an "officer".

We got more information from the single sentence posted a couple days later by another, indicating both I-130 and I-129F approval notices were emailed. We still have no information about why not a single member's I-129F for spouse got approved at VSC for several months, but we now know one was this week. We don't know if it was an accident/mistake by a new adjudicator or a change in policy we'll see more of going forward.

I don't understand why this question wasn't asked, or if asked, why the answer wasn't provided here.

Two actually. Yesterday two VJ members reported approval of both their I-129F and I-130 petitions for K-3 at Vermont.

I agree with you that this is an interesting development, and the next weeks will hopefully clarify whether or not more I-129F for K-3 are indeed being approved again at that Center.

she was OFFERING help and volunteering what she knew. she didnt owe any of us anything. She simply wanted all of us to feel the hope that it made her feel - so if you thought it was all "fluff" with no real "report" then you didnt have to post a response to her. I for one am thankful that she found hope, did her information give me hope-no...but I am glad it gave her hope and I am more than glad that she wanted us to feel that SAME hope. I dont understand why you are so offended..

Hey Paris, just for the record, I think it's totally nasty and cowardly you got mean private messages because of your thread about your telephone call.

It's not like you were obligated to tell anyone on this forum you even called. Sure I would have liked some more details about some things as well, but the bottom line is: everyone can call USCIS for themselves and try and get more info, if they want to.

You sure as hell didn't deserve to get attacked in private over it by complete strangers.

OH wow, I missed the conversation in here until just now, Paris I am so sorry that people said and did this to you. You went out of your way to give people peace of mind here and called USCIS. It is not right and those people just need to go back into their holes and play nice. I appreciate your thoughtfulness and trying to get info for us. YOU ROCK!

When I make an "I will...." statement, I consider myself obligated to do what I've said I will do. When I make no promise, I have no obligation. Evidently, opinions do vary on that principle. So be it.

How come you are always so rude? You push your opinions onto someone and make them feel inferior because they did not do it the way YOU would have done it. If you cannot add anything valueable to the conversations, then just stay out of them.

I too appreciate Paris' thread and the hope it gave to VSC filers. Keep up the good work Paris. You know you are loved by the majority of VJ members (if not all) Good luck to you...!

It helps if you read what a person writes before accusing them.

Paris put the main details in her second post, the stuff that everyone wanted to know, the real details she got. A few post later she put up the details of the conversation. 90% of this was personal talk. To you this may not be useful information. To me it was. Someone has actually taken the time to really talk about this. Not just "Wait another 90 days" as everyone else who called has got. I don't know what happened when you called when you went through this process, but hearing someone does actually care at the VSC is a big thing. Probably 1 in every 100 phone calls gets someone who is a little bit helpful. The guy who provided the information is probably 1 in a million.

It may not provide any new information to someone looking in from the outside, but for those of us going through it right now it was a light at the end of the tunnel.

Please don't jump on someones back because they didn't help you, think about the people who they did help.

Please don't tell me how to think. I'm thinking of the help that could have come and have already acknowledge what little did come. And I did read each post in the thread. For the record, I responded to PM's from Parisheart, so any nasty PM's she got were not from me.

There's a lot of emotion in this process. Information is the best means of mitigating the negative emotions. A pat on the head or sympathetic ear doesn't help most people nearly as much as good information. I said my peace on all this early in the thread. I don't see how it's productive to argue about whether or how I should have expressed my opinion. I'll decide that for myself, thank you.

The time when Vermont Service Center self-do a press release about how it is working, that is the time I going to stop up and read careful.

Now we have many members here who are frustrated because the long processing time, actually we know when we start to apply that it is many months for other years before they got a approved visa. For me, its not new, I know already the USIC processing time, so I shall be happy if my application are going to be granted before, I read July 2007, yeah its at least 12, months,,,,

If a member here feel good after a talk with a staff at Vermont, that is good, for me it does not mean anything! Me and my husband use this time to meets outside US, we planned already that when we started this application because we already knowed this its probably 6 to 12 montsh processing time.

We are all in the same boat, some can handle the situation better than other,, we need to support them who need support here..

When I look at the statistic, I see its more members at VJ who had apply at California than Vermont,,, at this community,, of course that’s probably also means that more people who are member here also get approved from CA. My friend who had her paper in Vermont its not member here and she had got her application approved for 3 weeks ago, but no one at this site know that,,,

Good luck to everyone.
