My fiance seems to be quite employable as he works in IT. Is it worth it for him to apply for jobs before he enters the US and immediately after, before he gets his EAD?

hi my advice is not yet.. he shoud wait at least halfway when he applied for EAD... or maybe if he have his EAD already.. coz like me,, i applied online jobs 4 days after im here in USA. The employer called me to have the interview but :( i didnt able to come for that interview coz I dont have EAD yet.. and just applied SSN that time... and when I read the letter from SSA yesterday, it said, I am only allowed to work and use the SS card if I have authorization from DHS... so no choice than to wait til we applied EAD together with AOS...

ohhh p.s if he will get EAD stamp at POE he will be fine...

I agree. He might get calls for interviews but if he doesn't have his EAD and SS#, they won't hire him.

Maybe he can apply when he enter to US while he is waiting for EAD. Because in my case I have applied since 1 1/2 month and it appears the employer delays in review the applications or sonmething... Also for apply for job he needs to have the SSN so, when he arrive apply for the SSN ASAP. Good day.
