"Red Flagged" is not really a term we use. When we refer to a "red flag" we refer to factors in the case that could raise doubts about potential visa fraud. You can contact the Dept. of State visa information line and ask if any further security checks were initiated by the Consulate. These could be initiated at any stage before or even after the interview, so each time you call, ask that question.

If somebody has made a note to your file indicating a concern of any kind, you'll never be informed directly. If at interview, your case seems to be summarily denied with almost no questioning or opportunity to explain anything, it it might be because of a "red flag". It would be a reasonable assumption but still an assumption.

In our case ours was returned and we were never told any reasons and a year later still were not told> The term red flag could be age, time known, etc etc

u shoul call the embassy! they are actually supposed to put this information on their website, but they dont update it everyday, so its bette to call
