Hi all,

I can enter from JFK in NYC or Dulles in DC or Newark in NJ. I'm trying to book ar flight considering factors like length of time to process into US (customs & visa) level of harrasment, airport delays, etc.

Any advice or thoughts on which airport POE is best is appreciated. Thanks

Added benefit of POE at JFK is the 90-day work authorization stamp; that is the only airport left in USA that gives it.

Yep! My hubby landed in JFK because the EAD was important to him. From there, he caught a flight to LA then locally to Fresno.

Do i need EAD if i am going through CR-1 route, I will get SSN in mail rite and after that they will send me green card rite.

In fact I realized that after my first post. With CR-1 route you will probably get your SSN and green card in a month or so after arriving in USA. So a 90-day EAD isn't all that important. I don't know how a CR-1 visa even looks in a passport - I wonder if the visa stamp include work permission too?

consider the non stop flights on Continental to Newark or Delta to JFK. both have connection to most places in US. I would recommend Continental since Newark is their hub. the main thing I would be concerned would be the experience of the airports in dealing with IR1/CR1/K1/K3. east coast airports and LAX, SFO, ORD are loaded with international passengers so have a good experience with the process.

hi,

Always consider ther Airport which is your direct destination or the closest to it.

In future if you have to deal with USCIS or Dept of stae again, they will ask you which did u select this POE , inspite you have an international airport where there is a direct flight available to you.
