Hi everybody,

My wife does not work. So, her parents are co-sponsoring me. But they have some questions regarding all this. First thing, can they just fill out the forms I-864(for sponsor, my wife) and I-864A(for co-sponsor, my in laws) and send them to NVC with the supporting documents or they have to sign the forms in front of somebody (for example at an office in minneapolis ..they live in minnesota) ?

And if they have to sign it in front of ,say, an INS official, what are the types of questions they will be asked, if any?

My in laws's income is well above the 125% of poverty level. But they spent a lot of money in my brother-in-law's teeth last year and they are afraid if they will be asked about their expenditures, the AOS might be rejected or something like that.

Can somebody please help me answer the questions taht m in laws have?

Thanks a lot in advance

The I-864 does not need to be signed in front of anyone and they are not interviewed.

Sponsorship is based only on income, not expenditures/credit/loans/etc. The only information they need to provide is on their income. Nothing else is required.
