Hi everyone, is it true that you still need to pay $70 for the affidavit of support in send it to NVC......my fiance got this info from his friend who also filed a k1 petition but I don't know if this is true. as far as I know the affidavit of support should be notarized and then the petitioner will send it to the benefeciary for the USE interview.

You are correct. I think my fiance only paid for the notary and the mailing costs. He should send the affidavit to you since you need it for your interview.

Thanks for your reply. We were actually arguing about it because it seems that he believes his friend more than me but oh well.....

That $70 Affidavit for Support fee is for CR1/IR1 visas.

You are on K1 route so affidavit of support (I-134) should not be sent to NVC. Your fiance will have it notarized and then send it to you as part of your requirements for your interview.
