and now another day off for the embassy so another day of waiting .............

Hay Naku

We all need to stay calm.

I am worried that Angela won't be here by June 21 which is my Mother's Birthday Party/ Family Reunion/Renewal of our vows ina church ceremony with my Family.

I thought when I filed last July 2 that she would certainly be here with me by now

11 months and still counting

If i mean to say "misinterpreted" i should have said then "you've misinterpreted", and so i really mean "you're misinterpreting", that is until you realize it wasn't for you. So , yeah, since you accepted already that it wasn't for you, then "you've misinterpreted then". Got it? ;)

But anyway, we are confusing readers, so yeah :ot2:

The problem is the U.S. Embassy in Manila is a high fraud embassy and they and the NSO are doing the best they can to check our documents. The Philippines has a corrupt image where "fixers" can produce documents for the right amout of pesos. Fraudulent papers and hidden marriages due to no divorce are rife in the Philippines. We are all tired of waiting and waiting.

When I applied for CENOMAR last january, NSO davao gave me the result the following day.. but when I tried applying for a new copy May 8, I was told by NSO davao that it will now take them 10working days to release CENOMAR due to influx of applicants. In some NSO office it will even take longer.

May is enrollment time, there is influx of BC applicants. June is the wedding month, so there is influx of applicants for CENOMAR which is now a requirment for all marriage license whether your marrying a foreign national or just your neighbor.

Enrollment and marriage licenses may not be visa related but it will definitely affect the processing time @ NSO which could be translated to the time frame for doc verification... if you have problem with birth certificate, then the time frame would tend to be longer.

And sometimes, miscommunication between delbros and usem will also add.

With all of the delays, I am seriuosly thinking about doing two seperate document verifications. This part of the proscess needs to be more reliable. This whole proscess needs to be thrown out. With peoples lives put on hold you would think they could do much better. Does anyone know of any cases that have been disallowed or invalidated since this doc verify began?

I am here almost ervery day. I do not recall anyone denied because of what was discovered. I do know of alot of good people that are held up because this document verification proscess is not working. There has to be a better way. Why can't this be done at the same time that the I130/129 is examined.

Maybe it is the backlog. With the pressure on the USCIS they have added to the time it takes to get through the system, without it reflecting on them.

Also the Philippines is not the only place that has problems. Almost any country has had problems. Russia comes to mind, anything can be done anywhere if there is enough money placed in the right place.

Jimmy and Angela I hope that this is near the end for you!!! We all deserve better service than we are getting.

I have talked a lot with the people at the embassy. Apparently it has happened that people have forged documents. The lady told me it does happen over there and that is the reason. Most of the problems seem to come from communication between delbros and the Embassy. The lady at the embassy told me they have had many problems with delbros. I guess all this is so they make sure not to even allow in one terrorist or criminal which is good. Delbros somehow lost or forgot about my case and lost the record that the embassy told them on 3-28-08 that they could forward my documents to the nso. So even though I paid on 4-2-08 My documents wernt forwarded until 5-5-08 because Delbros lost the message sent by the embassy or never got it. They told me they didnt recieve permission until 4-24-08 but the embassy told me they gave permission on 3-28-08.

If I could do it all over again the first thing I would have done is pay the document verification fee. I waited a week or 2 after scheduling my fiance's appointment because I had no idea how important it is to do this asap. I would recomend paying 2 months in advance for uncase they screw up. I was more concerned with her medical and getting that done early and now regret not paying sooner. Also I should have called delbros about a week or so after to see if they forwarded it yet. If they told me no and said the embassy didnt give permission yet I would contact the embassy and have them send a permission letter to delbros or a reminder because usually delbros just looses the info somehow. The embassy should really tell people to pay delbros as far in advace as possible, even 2 months because that is about how long it can take them if you dont follow up with them enough. Even if you do follow up, you need to do it again to make sure they are telling the truth the first time. I say that not to insult them but because it is the reality and others need to know that so they wont make the same mistakes I have and others have as well. Not really mistakes because we did what we were supposed to, but had we known how things are handled we all could have avoided this.
