How about a debit card? or, https://www.ikobo.com/

He can wire the money but Western Union is cheaper.

He can also get you a bank card with his bank and have them send it to you and you have to activate it with your own pin.

HSBC in Egypt is known as US Bank in the US.

Another way is thru family or friends. If there is some family or friends that are back and forth between here and there and have a bank account in both countries then he can give them the money and they can deposit into your bank account.

NEVER send a credit card through the mail, or cash for that matter! And yes, they have the right to inspect all mail going in and out of the country.

I have sent money through money gram. Then you can just pick it up at a bank. When you husband sends the money through money gram, he can then call their phone number to find out all the locations they allow the money to be picked up. I found that in Jordan you can pick it up at any of the major banks with just a passport or ID and the transaction number. Oh, and you don't have to have an account with that bank though they may charge a seperate fee.
