I think Hijab is a requirment, But if you live in non Muslim country and fear for your life or you may be hurrassed you don't have to wear it Allah(SWT) said in the Qoran WALA TARMO BI ANFOSIKOM ILA TAHLOKA means do not expose your self to danger.

Astrfiro Allah for any mistakes , its just my opinion

gotta post my thoughts on that... if hajab was required then God wouldnt have told you for fear of your life or possible harrassment its ok NOT to wear it. Then each woman could say at any point in life they are in fear of their life for X reason or for harrassment. It either IS or ISNT a requirment.

I'm not a scholar, that was my opinion. what do you think about it?

I grew up in a home that from the time I was 12-18, my mother believed that God wanted us to dress in dresses and skirts in modest apparel. My sister and I did it for 6 years while living in the home. So, i did grow up in a very modest appearance home. We also know that modesty is also inside as well.

I myself do NOT believe a headcovering is required. I do not even wear dresses all the time now BUT I do wholeheartedly believe in MODESTY. I believe I can be just as modest in pants and a shirt as well as a long flowing dress or skirt and that some could be in a dress and not modest on the inside.

No, but he grew up muslim. We are christians.

He thinks hijab is nearly hilarious bcz some women from around his flat would get nearly naked out on the roof/balcony for all to see when their husbands werent around... ( not very inward or outward modest) and he doesnt get why women where tons of makeup but wrap their hair up if the point is modesty.

Im not catholic either. My opinion is that hijab is not a requirment by God. For personal reasons and for each individual situation is one thing... to try to say thats its a requirment by God and that every muslim and/or christian should wear it... no I dont buy that.

the same (personal reason) that my mother wanted us daughters and herself in long flowing dresses and skirts. Not that it was a requirment by GOD for all christians but bcz it was a personal decision for Him by her. I was under her roof in her home, so I had to respect her decision even though it wasnt my own decision.

Same thing I believe for hijab. Its a personal decision from a woman to GOD. Its not between this woman and her cousin and this other woman and friend of hers and neighbor of hers and sister in law of hers.... bcz when all that goes on... then alot of judgemental attitudes generally will set in... such as ( oh I dress more modest than she does bcz my dress is longer, ect.)

its a requirment for muslims only, and that's the Qoran never being change and no body can change it. wear hijab or not is up to the person, and at the day of judgment we will be on our own and our opinions won't matter.

and also to add, since our opinions dont matter in the end... then its doesnt make a difference if someone is wearing hijab or not bcz its between them and God. People need to stop trying to convince people they HAVE to wear it...

I understand that Cristian are very deverse and have too many bibles and church's, is there anything in the Bible that talks about Hijab? if so can you state?

in the Qoran we there is a clear Aya about Hijab Allah (swt) said wa9ol lilmouminaty yadribna bijlabibihina 3ala khomorihin wala yobdina zinatahona ila madahara minha.(saa) in Arabic. that's why no body can say Allah didn't Require hijab.

just like praying its one of the pellars of islam but a lot of muslims don't pray.

See thats the thing, I never said wearing hijab is wrong... NEVER said it. I just said its not for others to determine something that is between a woman and God. :star: got it now?

I dont believe its wrong, I believe its not a requirement. That is exactly what I've been saying the whole time.

and a side note... Hijab is not just for muslims, it is for christians as well. :star:

to answer your question: praying is more important than hijab even do both of them are required. Muslima who wear hijab are most likely to pray but the muslima without hijab are less likely to pray even do they have good moral and inside. if you don't pray you are not a Muslim but if you don't wear hijab you are still a muslim that comit a sin and can be forgiven.
