What flowers bloom in your region?

On my morning walk, this morning, I was pondering the various flowers that bloom in the different places I've lived.

I recalled in Texas that in April, and May we had blue bonnets, and buttercups, and indian paint brushes flowering the sides of the highways in spring. I miss that so much.

In Idaho we don't have blue bonnets and buttercups. We have wild mtn flowers.

And along the rivers in the mtns u can find these.

and in small towns these.

And in the mtn meadows we have many different wild flowers.

But in the rose bloom of June I always love these.

What flowers bloom in your region? I'd love to see!

Oh I miss the lilac trees too! The first flowers I notice blooming here are the cheery yellow daffidols. I like to call them March flowers because that's when they usually show up. Right now we're getting a lot of Tulips blooming.

It is beautiful, but right now it is so hot and humid, I often think of the what it must of been in the old days, like in the Gone with the Wind times, how in the world could women wear all those clothes in this heat. The smell of the flowers, is priceless, I too love the smells of honey suckles, one of my favorite.

I so miss just hanging out in the Duke gardens this time of year.... One of my favorite things ever.

If this was asked 2 months ago I would have taken pics of any street in my area... the trees on both sides were full of little white flowers... it looked nice.. but they are now gone....

My bearded irises were in full bloom about 2 weeks ago. Now there are just a few stragglers here and there. Good news is our magnolia trees are just starting to bloom. I just love the scent of magnolia blossoms that greets me every morning when I leave for work and in the evening when I come home from work.

anywhooo, I know this isn't a flower in my region, and it's only a houseplant for me, but I got this hoya plant last year from a clipping and this year I had my first flowering. The little flower clusters almost seem fake. They feel like plastic.
