I'm fairly new to VJ, but here's MY good news.......

Yesterday Tim called and said he's booked a flight to come see me for a week in September. What a surprise! He wasn't even eligible for holidays until November, but his boss told him "Go ahead...go see her!" (I've met the boss, and he's a great guy...even got invited out to dinner with the boss and his wife last time I was at Tim's!)

Last time Tim and I touched was June 1. I had just finished spending a month in Oklahoma with him.

We haven't submitted the K-1 application yet, but we're hoping to put some stuff together while he's here.

The next couple weeks are really gonna draggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg...............

Life is feeling pretty good right now! Today was my last day of work! I am going to spend Monday and Tuesday doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I will start being productive again on Wednesday. I have instructed people to not ask me any questions or expect me to make any decisions about anything until Wednesday. I am such a princess. Heheh. Well, at least for the next two days.

Wow. I haven't read this thread in a while! Congrats to all the good newsers!

WOW, ya know, the same thing happened to me!!!!!! Well, ok, it was not an I-pod I found in the jacket. it was my part time girlfriend. She was just hanging there. I was so happy to find her. She was sagging here and there but I just pumped her back up, bit her on the #######, she flew out the window and I ain't seen her since. But I was happy for a little while. He he he

#######??

When we were talking we found out that we have exactly the same educational and work backgrounds. We also both feel really strongly that it's important to fight the "girls can't do math" idea that still seems to persist in the world today.

Wow.... STILL?? Years ago I enrolled my daughter in an all girls school because I was impressed with the individualized attention and their philosophy of training young women for non-traditional roles. They even taught engineering!.... which we/she thought she would go into to stay in the family business. She excels at math and is now an equities trader in Toronto's financial district. :)

Have fun doing nothing, Holliday!

Congratulations, Sapphire Dreams - that is the best kind of synchronicity.

Thanks Krikit and Kathryn!

I'll be working at a public relations agency in NYC. It's pretty similar to what I was doing in Toronto. I'm looking forward to going back to work!

Congrats Sapphire!

My Husband got a job today! He did a short preliminary interview with a company a couple of days ago (on the phone). Anyway they called him back and he interviewed this morning.

He had only been home about an hour when they called him back and offered him the job - he starts Thursday!
