I've got a couple :)

Don't you love it when your bf finds 5-packs of your favourite choc. bar (Crunchie) for 2 bucks each and brings home 4 packs!!! LOL!!

Don't you love it when after over a year of extended visits to Columbus, and him coming to TO, he decides hes going to tap into the critical shortage of software developers in Canada and start applying for a work permit, and apartment hunting for us in Toronto!!!!

I'm super super super duper excited!!!!!

As for moi:

I love it when I have had the opportunity and support to come to my beloved Vancouver,

immerse myself in a 40 day yoga challenge (I'm new to yoga),

feel and observe the transformations (on every level),

and next month a longish pit stop in Seattle/Bellevue. I hope to meet you PNWers!

I'm finding my edge.

My other half is a big fan of Hunts Ketchup for some reason and doesnt even consider the HCFS. I wonder if he'll notice the difference up in Toronto. One thing he's rather excited about is Canadian Mcdonalds. He loves it and thinks its so much better than McD's in Columbus. He rarely eats it when hes home, but In Toronto, he eats it more often than not!

PS Thanks for the well wishes :) Words can not describe the excitement. Of course it might take a while for him to get up there, Im thinking October if I'm lucky, but he qualifies quite easily for a TN visa up there, and as well falls under the Software Specialist catagory for Skilled workers. His chances of getting a visa is much easier than mine. Woooot! (I'm totally over indulging in apartment and job hunting already LOL)

I had to do a tonne of running around today. I did my drivers test, got my car emmissions tested, and got my Gerogia "tag". The tag office even sent me off tot he police station to get some kind of VIN verifaction form filled out.

Despite all the running around, I had a great day!

Every single person that helped me today was super nice. Even the police officer filling out the form was great. He told me some stories about friends from Canada and did a very passable maritimer accent when relaying their parts of the dialogue. The police officer even printed out a booklet of safety information and welcomed me to the city.

Finally, I have something to post here!

Your original message (6/18/2009 3:17:24 AM)Not sure where to send this too, but this should work. I had booked a flight using AIRMILES (no changes option) - I have to be in MOntreal a day earlier than planned to eleviate further anxiety on my upcoming immigration interview at the USA Consulate on June 22nd in the morning. I booked a flight on AC to go a day earlier. While checking my return flight, I noticed in the finer print at the back it states"Failure to travel on any portion of your itinerary will result in cancellation of all remaining flights." After reading that I quickly was able to book the orginal return flight I required with West Jet. I am giving you my WJ confirmation number ***MM65BV*** , your company has always delat fairly with me since your inception, and I want you to know that those seats are available for re-sell. It isn't your fault, I booked my flights with Air MIles and then changed my mind. In these tough times, I want to give back to you for all the excellent service Ihave been receiving for years. Janet SchwankyCompany reply (6/18/2009 12:40:16 PM)Hell Janet,

Thank you for your e-mail. It is great to hear you enjoy flying with us.

I understand why you would want to arrive in Montreal a day ahead of your appointment. This said, I would like to see if I can assist you for the return flight since you had already booked your flight with AIR MILES and then purchased another ticket with WestJet for the same date and flight.

Can you please give me your phone number to discuss this with you?

Thank you for your time and I am looking forward to your response.

Kind regards,

Carine

Bilingual Specialist - Guest Relations

WestJet

Company reply (6/18/2009 12:41:12 PM)Sorry Janet, I meant to great you with Hello Janet. Please accept my apology.

Thank you for your understand and I am waiting for your response.

Carine

Company reply (6/19/2009 2:50:16 PM)Hi Janet,

I have been trying to find a solution for you since you had to book an earlier flight with Air Canada and then a return flight with us. As you know, AIR MILES booking cannot be cancelled and if you don't show up, you normally loose your points and money that was paid.

I think you will be pleased to hear that I have contacted our AIR MILES group to make an exception. So, I have cancelled your AIR MILES booking and contacted AIR MILES to ask them for an exception. You will be refunded 3,200 AIR MILES points and $170.34 to your credit card.

We thank you for your time and all the best for your upcoming interview.

Carine

Now this is why people fly Westjet and not Air Canada.

Janet
