Yes, good luck Jill - that sounds great!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

You've been job hunting only 1 week and get called for an interview!! When I was at the gym I had a message from the manager at one of the companies I applied at, and here's the better part: I applied for a customer service job, and he said on the message by reading my resume he feels I'm more qualified for the CSR supervisor job!! Which is good news, I called him back but no answer so I left a message, hopefully he calls me back soon.... I'm nervous because I haven't had an interview in FOREVER my last job I was there almost 8 years! But this is a good start.... And the office is a 10 minute drive from home, not to get ahead of myself though!

Amazing news Jill!! Sounds very promising! Before I went into PR, I worked as a summer student in Customer Service (at a Hydro call centre) and even though some days were a bit bad with mean people, I did love helping people and working in customer service. Good Luck!! I'm sure you'll do fine in an interview.

Thanks! My previous job was CS related, I was there to please the customer, so I know what it takes especially because I've had so much bad CS around, I know how to be good at CS LOL!! I'm a people person and friendly with customers. This place is a mobile Xray company, it goes to places like nursing homes, prison, rehab centres, where the person cannot easily get to a hospital.... So you're making the appts, doing reports, etc. And you would be supervising a team of 5 people.

Congrats Jill! That's awesome. :star:

Then, the next day, you find out that as a wedding gift (an early one) your parents are giving you your honeymoon as their wedding gift!!! We had originally planned to pay for it ourselves, but just found out that they're covering the cost! Our spending money is kind of included, too (b/c of his mom's gift). Wow... I'm on cloud 9!!! smiley-character00100.gif

I almost squealed out a "woot" when I was on the phone with them. That would've been really funny! :D

It is unbelievably amazing... I'm so blown away by it!!! I love my parents... they are really, really sweet and caring people. I feel SO fortunate!

What a great and unexpected gift

Definitely... especially when we're trying to cover some of the wedding costs AND save up for the AoS BEFORE we leave on the honeymoon. :)

what a lovely gift - and I am sure it is definitely appreciated! So, where are you going for the honeymoon?

Oh, it is sooooo appreciated. Words can not even describe! We are going to Hawaii, on a cruise. Plus an added 4 days, b/c I won a 3-day/2-night vacation and Honolulu is one of the destination options. So, we're going on the 7 day cruise with an added 4 days on to the end of that... a 13 day honeymoon (the extra days are at the beginning and end - staying a night in Phoenix each way). My fiance' doesn't fly well, and it's 4 or so hours to/from Phoenix and Detroit and 6 hours to/from Phoenix and Honolulu. So, with stopping over the night in Phoenix we'll stay at my parent's home for the night and then take off the next day.

It works for him flying-wise and it works for me, a longer honeymoon and time alone with him! Yea!!! :)

Well if you want any thoughts about what to see and do in Hawaii and Honolulu, let me know. I am sure I can come up with a few good ideas. July is a wonderful time to visit Hawaii.
