You're part of a group of people at work doing the "Biggest Winner" (an elementary teacher's version of "Biggest Loser" - her rationale, we don't want to be losers here! -- yeah, she teaches kindergarten) and you discover you've lost 17 pounds in about 7 weeks... without even really realizing it??!! :)

That's a little concerning. 17 lbs in 7 weeks is too much weight loss in too short of time. :(

so,so, they say 2lbs a week, and July has lost about 2.5 lbs/week on average. But it varies with people. (not saying Julybride is a large person, lol) but if your a very obese person, and you start working out, eating healthy, initially your going to loose more than 2 lbs a week. One wants to ensure you are eating healthy, and not starving urself. Good work July

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I see a dietician and nutritionist regularly, and if you're dieting and exercising, they're telling me 1 - 1.5 a week is safe. And I'm an obese person. The pictures I've seen of Julybride don't show that she's obese at all, and her comment was "without even realizing it", which might suggest this is a little concerning.

I created a web page about my Great Great Grandfather and then several more pages on my other ancestors that were attached to it.

So yesterday I did a google search on his name and the page came up and I go there and it's still there! It was on my Shaw webspace and of course we cancelled our internet stuff when we left Calgary.

Anyway I am so pleased as with this version of Explorer you can save the webpage and it even puts the images in a separate folder within the folder :) Just means I don't have to get all the files off of my old computer and sift through the stuff etc etc :)

My last day of work in Canada is bumped by 2 weeks!! I originally told my bosses I would stay until June 12th, but decided I needed to leave sooner, so I asked them if I could bump it up to May 29th and they were very understanding!! Now my move is seeming much sooner and real.

I am SO READY to move....

Now how to fit all of my belongings in 4 suitcases, HA.

Removing Conditions

Sent package to VSC - 8/12/11

NOA1 - 8/16/11

LOL at the two of you! :) I've had some weeks where there's been more lost than others. In fact, I've already had a week where there was no weight loss at all. :( But, I keep plugging away at exercising and eating right. My hope is to get to a nice healthy weight and MAINTAIN!!!!!

BTW, Carla -- I hide it veryyyyyyy well!!!! ;)
