I will be baking a wedding cake for my first "client" ever. Well husbands cousin but still... it could lead to others. :P

Its going to be a three tiered traditional cake with fondant and all that stuff. I am super excited.

I made my own invitations, I would never make someone elses.

Those are too personal, I couldn't go that deep.

But I know a girl who lives north of Philly who makes great invitations if you need em.

Lol. That would be an awesome business. I love making cakes, so I'm very envious of you! My mom keeps begging me to make her a cake again but I have no time. Are you doing gumpaste flowers and such too?

No gumpaste flowers. I am still learning quite a bit and luckily she just wants a regular white cake with piping and her florist will add fresh flowers to it.

Nothing too fancy but still fun.

Oh I don't get paid either, they're just buying my supplies. Everyone thinks I should have charged her but I feel bad charging someone I know. Oh well this way I won't have to give her a present. :P

If you have a Michaels down there I highly recommend the Wilton Cake Decorating classes. I did all of them, and they teach you soooooooooo much. I love making the flowers the most of the whole thing. You can get really fancy then. The courses arent too expensive and for me was the best way to learn. Just as a FYI :D

Yes I have completed a couple of courses and want to go back and do more. I was actually looking into the Michaels ones and someone else at work here mentioned them the other day. The thing is, they fill up soo fast so I need to be more "on the ball" when getting myself out there.

I will definately cross my fingers that the cake faeries find you an opening. I'm sure you will absolutely love the things you will learn there. I found out I love fondant and hate icing....unless its like star piping a cake. Icing roses don't like me too much.

My good news of the day...that program that I got the camcorder through...they just emailed me to say its no longer going to be working but they are giving us a couple months to use up the last of our points! I love free stuff. Sad to see the program go, but yay that I already got something and have a chance to get something else.

Uhh my husband never attacks me for the record. Its usually just lame things so everyone knows... usually after a busy week at work and he hasn't been home for dinner at all. Small stuff.

I don't want people getting the wrong idea is all. :P
