I phoned up Cox cable today--we have our Phone, internat and TV through them (With verizon, just have cell phone) and since we rarely use our phone ---mainly use cell phone (verizon) asked how much i would save if I took the phone off! Would only save like $10 a month! So not really worth it, as when talking with family, much prefer using a regular phone, vice a cell phone. But she did say if u signed up for a 1 year service contract, they would chop off $8 a month! So went that route. Had no clue they offered such a deal, never seen any flyers or any rep mentioned it in the past.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

OOOH.. are you close to Orlando? that would be super sweet!! :) It's also during the week hubby is down in Louisiana, so it's the best timing as well as I would feel bad about going down there and him being here in the snow :)

Yes! I am about 20 miles outside of Orlando. If the planets align (meaning Trailmix and I won't have houseguests during that time), maybe I could zip by Trailmix's house, pick her up, then we could meet for dinner or something?!!! :o:dance::dance::dance:

Do you know when you're coming?

My sweetie and I will probably be visiting his step-mom in Santa Rosa Beach, FL (in the Panhandle) end of February early March.

Anyone around there at that time?

Hmm. That's just before my first set of houseguests arrive so it's a go for me. Let me know what your schedule is like once you've made the final arrangements.

Oh. Which Airport Marriott will you be staying at? There are a couple there..... I stay there if I have an early morning flight.

So we have this program with one of the vendors where I work, you get points for selling certain products, doing training and quizzes. Once you collect enough you can submit for items. Well back in October I got enough to get a dvd camcorder, I've been waiting on it forever, had just about given up hope I would ever see it (even after a few nasty emails asking why it was taking 16 weeks when they said 8) when....

IT CAME IN THE MAIL TODAY!

Now I have a new toy to take actual good video's with (yes this probably means another winter vid lol) and to take film of Wes's trip while he's here! I'm so excited!
