that's the spirit! after i sent in the RFE back to NVC, i quit waiting.. i just went about my business and whaddaya know.. case completed! worrying gives us wrinkles anyway.. haha!

i thought his interview date wasn't ever going to come and now it's only like 2 weeks away.. time will fly if you don't think about it..

i hope your wife won't have to go through what i've been going through, cmnb.. cuz it sucks.. that's right, all BOYS can do is imagine what it would be like to be pregnant and then have to go through delivery!!

i'm off to vote!! i'll be back.. after eating my sugar was even lower then before eating.. darn insulin.. i'm gonna go grab something to eat then i'm off to the voting place! i think i have to go to some middle school.... hmmm...

Jen-Congrats on the pregnancy...I know it's late, sorry. I had my baby 8-19-08 and things have been busy since then. We got our I-130 approved 9-12-08 and are going for CR-1 instead of the K-3 like we were going to do. I paid the AOS bill 9-30-08 and the IV Bill 10-08-08, but didn't send in DS230 until 10-30-08 and am feeling a bit anxious to see if we will have an RFE or get a case complete and an interview date.

Congrats Rajaa on case complete and interview date!

Thank you Shiri.... you're baby is sooooo cute I think it would be unusal not to get an rfe on the ds 230 at this point I think almost 50% of the people in the August approval thread did.... but i am crossing things for you it won't happen.

W/o actually getting the notice in the mail, I sort of had one... I didn't send any of the original doc with the ds 230. That night I called the NVC and they said I needed to send the original birth certificate and marriage certificate. After I sent those, someone from here said I needed the original police certificate too and when I called today they said that was all I was missing. So I sent the original that my hubby sent me and we'll see. I should have went right back last Friday, but it's a 30 minute drive and yeah... I wasn't careful enough and ended up spending about $50 on over night postage instead of just $16.50. Anyways... thank you so much for your comment about our new baby! :)

no need to say thank you . I am sure you probably get it all the time. I am soooo sorry you didn't know about the originals thing. But i am glad you didn't wait for them to send you the paperwork and stayed on top of the calling. Saved yourself alot of time that way.

Hi everyone! I hope I am not offtopic here. I am new on this site but has been reading and trying to get information for quite awhile now. Also May filer here.

My question is: we've been trying to check our status online. We already have tried to register but when we try to add our case number it says: Attempting to add a case that does not exist. Check the app receipt number. My husband and I don't know what's an application receipt number. What we have is a case number. Are they the same? If not, where can we find the application receipt number?

Thank you for any reply on this.

Our number starts with EAC and then has a bunch of numbers. I don't have the NOA1 with me, it is with my wife in the USA, but I do believe it comes with that document. If you still can't figure it out, I'd call the USCIS to be certain.

- OUR TIMELINE -

04/25/08 - sent I-130 to Chicago lockbox

05/05/08 - received NOA1, assigned to VSC

11/07/08 - transferred to CSC

12/16/08 - NOA2 by email - I-130 approved

12/20/08 - NOA2 in mail - 240 days

12/22/08 - NVC receive package

01/05/09 - we receive AOS Bill and DS-3032

02/12/09 - medical 04th Mar 2009 - NVC Complete - 314 days

04/28/09 - interview passed - 370 days

06/20/09 - visa arrived by courier

06/21/09 - POE Dallas Fort-Worth - 398 days to gain permanent residence (CR-1)

02/22/11 - Sent I-765 to Vermont Service Center

03/03/11 - Received receipt for I-765

04/04/11 - AOS interview and biometrics in Oklahoma City - took all of 20 minutes, no sweat

Currently waiting on my 10-year Green Card - Best wishes to everyone going through their journey!

Thanks a lot! I think it's on the NOA, we haven't checked it yet. But we will. Thanks again.

Thank you.. :star: I wish you your birthday wish :star: .... it's too long it's time for your case to move on now...

I have just given up....I don't think we will get together before July 2009. I am living in the state of self denial. I don't see any approvals....VSC seems to be doing everything but approving I 30s

It only hurts when I am breathing :crying:

We already found our application receipt number from the NOA, entered it on USCIS website to check the status but the latest it shows is July 2008 update saying they already approved the petition. My husband has just received in the mail the AOS form but the website doesn't say anything about that. Is the website not accurate? Or is there something I missed that it won't show me the entire status of the case?

after uscis it goes to NVC you will have to call them if you want more information they have an automated system via telephone or an operator.

ONce you have an NOA2, don't worry if your information doesn't show. I am almost done with the NVC and the automated system still tells me they have no record of my case number... but I know they do cuz when I talk to the operators they can pull up our case just fine.
