oh my gosh, DUH! of course i can send it in myself! i don't know why i kept thinking it has to come from my address over there.. my brain is soo tired.. thanks for pointing that out!

it is quite expensive to send it fedex though.. about $30 and it will take 3 days. it's not a P.O. box, is it? because if it is, then my sister has to send it USPS

i have read about the whole auto response too but nothing seems to solve my problem. you got an auto response, right?

Ya, I kind of wondered what you were thinking about sending things to your sister first, But I know how it is. Sooooooooo many things on your mind!!!!

And no, it is not a PO Box. I sent all of my stuff to the NVC via Fed EX.

Yes, I did get the auto response. But I would not send any more emails, it could confuse them.

i think i already confused them.. better just leave it alone i suppose. they might think i'm spamming them or something! i'll just call NVC next week and see what happens. i hope they take it.. if not, this will totally delay everything

i have way too many things on my mind. i'm also planning parts of my cousin's wedding too and i'm going to arrive there only 2 days before the wedding.. this is way too much stress on one skinny girl!!

That's what I am wondering.. I have his police certificate, translated and stamped as well as his birth certificate do I need to send them back?

Have him get the same documents for himself to have available there while you have time to gather them. He should be taking those to the consulate as backup if you only decide to pursue CR1. If K3, then he has to send them to consulate anyways. Most of your questions are answered in Loto's guide. You haven't been reading it have you?!?!

Why not use Jame's shortcuts to make your own Choice of Agent? And have your hubby send that to you as a back up for now in case the mail is delayed even more.

i think i might have to do just that. i tried before already but was confused on how to paste the barcode. according to James, the case number should be written where the barcode strip should be.. but then where the heck do you put the generated barcode then if you wrote the number on it's spot already?

i'm so sleepy, LuLu.. i'm suppose to be sleeping already. got work tonight and 12 hours on my feet kinda drains the life out of me every time i go to work..

but now i think my brain has stopped functioning too.. i can't seem to understand anything!

exactly, i can never understand that part either...where do u stick the barcode, if you wrote in that rectangle..i just left it alone that time, thinking that i wud worry about it when the time comes...mayb steve can answer this question..

but Jen, a piece of advice...since you are going to the phillipines and r going to see your husband...have him give u a signed copy of the DS-3032 form also...i have seen a case here on VJ when the NVC did not recieve the email and the person had to send in a hard copy so its good to have a backup...

To be on the safe side, I emailed the DS-3032 and had my husband post the form as soon as we saw the AOS fee bill was generated. I received an auto response from NVC when I sent the email. They received the DS-3032 (do not know which one) within a day and soon the AVR said that they have received it. I think its always safe to try both ways. What the heck...would just cost you the postage...but save you from the trouble later in general.

As for the barcode, after the introduction of the online system, the James' Shortcut has become obsolete. Besides, I do not know how hubby managed to produce those barcodes last time we were at NVC. I think the ONLINE paying and printing system is less hassle.

the directions to generate the bar code are on the james shortcut. but what doesnt make sense is that why would you write your case number and then stick the bar code over it?!?!?!

Jen - Sara did the right thing by mailing the DS-3032 as well as sending an email. Even if you dont want to send that form in the mail, still have it signed from your husband, just in case there may be a problem. Basically you wanna cover all bases.

Jen, I had given husband several signed copies of DS-3032 a few months ago so he used one of those. He used the James shortcut to create the barcode (I just found out), pasted the barcode there with glue stick and it was ready. He used the james shortcut for producing the barcode. I just tried creating one and it doesn't seem difficult. please try it: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...s%27s_Shortcuts

Also Jen if you can see the AOS bill...i believe you have paid it...you are good to send in the DS-3032...which I know you have through email. Maybe wait a few days till it enters the system. It will work don't worry.

AOS IS NOW PAID!!! yahooooo!! but still no automated response for that darn choice of agent! so i will send in my AOS tomorrow cuz i am DEAD TIRED! just got home.. had the most awful night but not THE most awful night.. was it a full moon last night cuz everyone of my patients were a little cuckoo..

i know how to make the barcode, but what i don't understand is according to the shortcut, you must first write the case number in black inside the barcode box thing THEN put the generated barcode ON TOP of the written case number.. that doesn't make any sense!
