thank you!!!!, kelvin_omar! i'm still trying to process it in my head.. it's like all of a sudden i don't know what to do next even though i have prepared everything ahead of time.. haha!

i wish VSC will move just as fast as CSC...

I really hope VSC starts to move on... I was surprised when I saw your post that you had a touch... I sent my I-130 the same day you did... 04-30-08... If my application was at CSC maybe my approval would be very soon as well...

Sometimes it is SO hard all this wait... It is frustrating to know that VSC is so backed up... I pray to God that VSC starts approving soon... and catch up with CSC...

You should look at LOTOS NVC Guide... This has step by step of what you should do after approval...

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=136822

I wish you the very best... Within aprox 3 or 4 months time you will be with your hubby. I imagine you are SO HAPPY....

Kelvin

i know.. maybe if you were in CSC... don't lose hope, Kelvin.. CSC is just slightly abnormal with approvals.. don't base that on anything. i am really soo happy. i was so tired from work when i got home and i thought i had to drink coffee or something to stay awake today but then this approval was just the adreneline that i needed!

i have LOTO's NVC guide printed out already.. a long time ago, in fact! haha! just a little too excited back then, i suppose.. everything is prepared, except that he needs to sign.. AND the clearances. he didn't listen to me when i told him to get it a month ago.. so now we have to wait on that..

then i'm going back to the philippines for my cousin's wedding and to see him, of course, so that is going to delay my time in NVC for a bit.. oh well.. only for a couple weeks maybe..

Everyone,

That touch on 21st did mean something. The expedite request was sent on th 9th of July on humanitarian grounds after bombing near my area on July 7th. And we heard nothing from USCIS. Then on 21st there was a touch on both our old and new petition and we had received an email stating that our older petition has been sent from the State Department to USCIS for the request to review it. USCIS also sent a letter to my husband stating that they have received the expedite request...but did not say whether it was approved or not. Also note that they did not show any more touches after that nor we received any e-mail from USCIS. Then today on the 24th my husband received the NOA2 letter in mail (the case was expedited). The online system still hasn't been updated and how shown 21st July as the latest date.

I feel bad about all my other fellows here but I am very hopeful that USCIS will approve May filers soon inshaAllaah.

You are in my prayers,

Sara.

Sara,

Congratulations on your approval, wishing you best of luck with the rest of the journey.........

05-12-2008: Check cashed

07-22-2008: NOA 2

10-27-2008: NVC sends an RFE requiring about my J-1 visa two year home country residency requirement. 3 days before the requirement (that never applied to me in the first place) would have become void.

11-7-2008:APPROVED

11-28-2008: Case fowarded to embassy after we get "a little help from our friends"...Interview scheduled for Monday 5th of January

12-30-2008: Interview cancelled by phone. A rude consular officer says "we have our reasons and will call you on monday."

01-05-2009: They don't call, so I call them and re-schedule for 01-07-2008.

01-07-2009: Interview. They don't say we're approved. They don't say that we're not approved. In fact they hardly say anything. No request for more documents or weird questions. They don't want to see any evidence. Just weird. They take my passport though, so most likely we are approved. Or else they just wanted my passport.

01-29-2009: The lovely consular officer tells me I can pick up my visa whenever I like!

01-30-2009: Visa in hand!

jen, if i were you, i would keep my I-864 ready. this way when u get the case number from nvc next week, you can atleast pay your AOS fee bill online and email the ds-3032. hand over the completed I-864 package to someone responsible (a friend or a family member) and they can print the barcoded sheet and mail it to the NVC for you..this way the two weeks that you are in the phillipines dont get wasted completely.

All Right this is what I have been thinking about since that touch on 21st and this recent approval of a may fellow filer:

Nightsurf's NOA1 dates to May 8th and Snorkies' May 10th ----- both CR1 filers at CSC. Their petition was sent in the last week of April and first week of May. Considering these dates and taking some help from my Imagination, could it be possible that the CSC has actually started working on May filers and our time will come soon too?

sara, many congratulations on the approval...i hope you remain safe and be with ur husband as soon as possible!

my I-864EZ is already completed. will use the EZ since my income is sufficient and he is the only person i'm sponsoring. Got my employement letter the other day, my W-2's are completed from 2005 and i got '05, '06, and '07 IRS transcripts on hand. I think i'll be fine with just the transcripts but i have my W-2's ready too just in case. i have the last 2 months of my pay stubs. gonna have to dig if i have to include from January '08 too.. but then i can always print those out from our online employee intranet... wondering, do i need ALL of 2008 paystubs?

so, basically, just waiting for the NVC case number. as soon as i have that, i will go ahead and pay online. do i have to wait for them to generate the choice of agent before i can email them or i can just go ahead and email them as soon as i have my nvc case number? my brain doesn't want to work right now. i'm sure i know the answer to this one but i really am tired.. been awake for almost 24 hours now..

Thanks cmnb. Best wishes for VSC and you have to believe me, when we were waiting for our petition back in January to be approved, VSC was in awful shade. People were suicidal but I am glad to see all those approvals and really hopeful for you all.

Jen, doing my best  . Thanks for updating the list. One more thing off my mind.

THank you everyone else too for being there.

Also thanks Jen for pointing out the I-864EZ one. I think Zayd would need to fill this too instead of the other regular form.

thirdsjen and Sara,

Thank you.....I am hoping for the same. To be honest, I feel somewhat left out as I'm seeing so many May approvals and mine has not even been touched since May 20th....but no worries...feeling happy for everyone who has been approved!

cmnb,

Hope your petition gets a fast approval as well so that we can all go through NVC around the same time.

KAHM, don't worry! mine wasn't touched at all since it was entered into their system 5/14!! it was updated on 6/06 because they had my address wrong and i changed it online (by the way, it is still wrong!! oh well, it least the mailman knows who we are and still gives us our mail!). so basically, i never got a touch until 7/21 and that was the approval.. trust me.. you are next! if his income is sufficient and you are the only one, definitely the I-864EZ, Sara.. then just have him attach the transcripts, pay stubs, employment letter, etc. No need for bank account, assets or whatever else. Income alone is sufficient..
