Awwww Awesome!!!!! WOW this is what I wanted to see tonight before going to bed. I am really happy for you snorkies. Hope it goes smoothly from here onwards too.

Rajaa...I like your strategy...I'll force hubby to teach me some too...just in case.

Also, when I first started wearing hijab...I would wear it in this manner. Now I am too lazy to pin it up so I have been using the one which you wear like a head-sock...close to that and its pin/hassle free.

All Right this is what I have been thinking about since that touch on 21st and this recent approval of a may fellow filer:

Nightsurf's NOA1 dates to May 8th and Snorkies' May 10th ----- both CR1 filers at CSC. Their petition was sent in the last week of April and first week of May. Considering these dates and taking some help from my Imagination, could it be possible that the CSC has actually started working on May filers and our time will come soon too?

Everyone,

That touch on 21st did mean something. The expedite request was sent on th 9th of July on humanitarian grounds after bombing near my area on July 7th. And we heard nothing from USCIS. Then on 21st there was a touch on both our old and new petition and we had received an email stating that our older petition has been sent from the State Department to USCIS for the request to review it. USCIS also sent a letter to my husband stating that they have received the expedite request...but did not say whether it was approved or not. Also note that they did not show any more touches after that nor we received any e-mail from USCIS. Then today on the 24th my husband received the NOA2 letter in mail (the case was expedited). The online system still hasn't been updated and how shown 21st July as the latest date.

I feel bad about all my other fellows here but I am very hopeful that USCIS will approve May filers soon inshaAllaah.

You are in my prayers,

Sara.

I totally think they have started processing us guys! :star: I was freaking out because you know, no touches, no nothing, and just as I'd noticed that Nightsurf had gotten theirs and gone "maybe that means something", we got ours. The dates the petitions were filed are just too close for it to be a co-incidence. So let's watch those who are next in line and hope for the very best .

Oh and hope the NVC is feeling productive :)

CR-1 Timeline:

USCIS:

04-30-2008: I-130 Sent

05-08-2008: Received at California Service Center

05-10-2008: NOA 1

05-10-2008: Hard Copy

05-12-2008: Check cashed

07-22-2008: NOA 2

NVC:

10-27-2008: NVC sends an RFE requiring about my J-1 visa two year home country residency requirement. 3 days before the requirement (that never applied to me in the first place) would have become void.

11-7-2008:APPROVED

11-28-2008: Case fowarded to embassy after we get "a little help from our friends"...Interview scheduled for Monday 5th of January

12-30-2008: Interview cancelled by phone. A rude consular officer says "we have our reasons and will call you on monday."

01-05-2009: They don't call, so I call them and re-schedule for 01-07-2008.

01-07-2009: Interview. They don't say we're approved. They don't say that we're not approved. In fact they hardly say anything. No request for more documents or weird questions. They don't want to see any evidence. Just weird. They take my passport though, so most likely we are approved. Or else they just wanted my passport.

01-29-2009: The lovely consular officer tells me I can pick up my visa whenever I like!

01-30-2009: Visa in hand!

I really hope VSC starts to move on... I was surprised when I saw your post that you had a touch... I sent my I-130 the same day you did... 04-30-08... If my application was at CSC maybe my approval would be very soon as well...

Sometimes it is SO hard all this wait... It is frustrating to know that VSC is so backed up... I pray to God that VSC starts approving soon... and catch up with CSC...

You should look at LOTOS NVC Guide... This has step by step of what you should do after approval...

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=136822

I wish you the very best... Within aprox 3 or 4 months time you will be with your hubby. I imagine you are SO HAPPY....
