May 2008 Filers

Rosa and I live in Bogota. Probably will never get mail from the USA. May never know if they even received our package. I have had many things sent to me in Colombia and never receive. Expect a NOA1 even less. Colombia, sucks !

you could try checking the back of the cashed check. WAC**********. My number was a digit higher than the one stamped on the back. for example, the last number was a 6, try a 7. It might work.

so Rajaa, did you check to see if it worked? if you get an error, just keep changing the last number

hahaha.. i hardly count myself an expert. my mom keeps wanting me to get a lawyer. i keep telling her that it's probably not necessary as the lawyer won't speed up anything anymore than i can.

hmm.. im gonna try to do a spreadsheet of just MAY CR1 filers and track ourselves that way. TRY is the key word here.. don't know if i know what i'm doing!

Should've been sent to the Chicago Lockbox first then they transfer to whatever local office it's suppose to go to. That could be the reason for the delayed NOA1. But i have a feeling that you will be getting yours next week. After all, this was a holiday weekend. Nothing was done..

isn't this forum great? i wish i had known about it before i sent in my I-130. could've presented it more clearly. hope nothing was missing! this is what i get from doing everything myself.. but oh well.. what is done is done..

Yeah thats true. I was reluctant at first to join this forum thinking people would be clueless here but we had already consulted two good immigration lawyers and they both were useless. Waste of money too. Husband and I signed up together and since that day this forum has proven to be extremely helpful. Everyone here is wonderful and helpful.

We had filed back in January and had received NOA2 within 3 months but unfortunately thanks to the stupid lawyers and their advice there was some complication with the case. Imagine we had to turn back from the point where we only needed to file DS-230 at NVC. Now its a fresh start with all documents needed. Hoping for a swift approval. Hope its goes smoothly for others too. Thanks again!

WE got our NOA1 today but the notice date was May 23rd. Whooo hoooo now it begins.
