hahaha.. cmnb, don't worry about it. it was a legitimate question and one that needed to be discussed. that is what this forum is about, to relay our concerns, get some answers, and bond with people who are in the same boat as we are..

Rajaa, mine wasn't touched at all since they cashed my check either. there was that touch on the 6th cuz it was an address change but i did that. i'm not that worried that nothing is moving but i'm kinda worried.. hahaha.. makes sense?

Ooohhh CMNB sorry didn't mean it to you .... I ment the stress in general over our apps. NO worries please ask anything It's all good. sorry if it sound otherwise.

Thirds_jen it makes as much sense as having to wait around a year to get your spouse in the same country!!! sorry was that outloud? I've just started this journey and I am fuming over this wait. However my husband has recieved an offer to go to Spain for a year to work...he'll have a place to live and work so he can be a resident of spain... not sure if that will help or hurt our case???? I do know the moroccan consulate is a B%$@h so I am thinking i might be able to move the consulate to Spain. Hope that doesn't require filling all over again? But it's also good that he'll be busy and I'll get to go to spain someday...insha'allah. He has his interview on friday coming... yes they are that fast. Took one phone call to the Spainsh consulate in morocco and they told him what paperwork he'll need and his interview is Friday...#######!! Now you might understand my frustrations lol. :star:

hmm.. don't know anything about that, Raj.. but he's not a citizen of Spain so I think it will still stay in Morocco OR i think that it has to be in the country you were married in..

have some more patience, my dear.. there are people from 2007 that are still waiting for their NOA2. we just filed a month ago and it is already driving us nuts!

If I remember correctly, the K3 interview can only take place in the country in which the marriage took place. For the IR1/CR1 you may request a transfer once the paperwork arrives at the consulate you specified on the I130, but the beneficiary needs to be a legal resident of that country.

Thanks ladies... they said he can be a legal resident of Spain in 6 months?? I have no ideas I guess I'll cross that bridge when it comes up... I think I can change consulates but after he's a legal resident...if not he'll have to go back to Casa which you know he will if he has to. He's just hoping it'll make things go faster if he becomes a residant of Spain. I don't have the heart to tell him it won't. :(

Yes, that is correct. Where you live or where you are a citizen does not matter. The paperwork goes to the consulate in the country WHERE THE MARRIAGE TOOK PLACE. so everything will go through the embassy in the country wher you were married. So if he goes to Spain, he will need to travel back for the interview.

My wife is a citizen of Peru, but now lives in Buenos Aires, and we got married there, so we are going through the embassy in Buenos Aires.

There are stories of people in the forums who went somewhere on vacation to get married thinking they would be using the consulate in their country where they lived. Then found out that it was the consulate where the marriage took place. So they had to travel back to the other country for the interview. And as far as I know you cannot get the consulate changed.

I think i understand but I am still happy for him... because he is making a "back up plan" lol. If we're denied he says I'll enjoy Spain more than Morocco...to live lol.

Yes, it was much much faster that we had ever imagined. Now we are trying to get all of her documents together, we started trying to get her documents from Peru a couple weeks ago thinking we would be ahead of the game, we weren't expecting a NOA2 until atleast the biginning of July.

Looking at your timeline, I would expect a touch on your I-129F early this week, then in a couple of weeks a touch on both petitions for them putting them together. Then a little while after that touch again, with an NOA2 on both.

There were alot of people who sent in their paperwork to CSC in April to the beginning of May who were getting approved in 3 to 4 weeks. I don't know what was going on at thet time, but it looks like it has slowed just a little. But not much.

Thank you for your positive thoughts... I also read just seeing a touch doesn't mean it's good. I am going with that train of though. Do you think it'll matter that I used two different pics for my husband??? I just thought of that.. one for our CR1 and one for our I 129f????
