Producing phone cards results in evidence somebody has been buying phone cards.

If you want to show evidence of phone calls between his phone number and yours, you use a calling service that provides such records. and then a phone bill from each of you indicating the numbers called are yours.

For China there are a couple popular services that charge about two cents a minute and provide full records of calls. Perhaps you can find something similar.

Have you been smsing each other at all? He could get a record of his smses if so.

However, my husband and I did not provide any of phone records and got through with pictures, boarding passes and entry stamps in his passport

Depends on the phone card, and how you purchased them. I used phone cards, but they were purchased online, through one web-site. (I picked the card that had the best rate for the country I was calling, and I just re-filled it each time I needed to call....it had a permanent pin# and my home phone and cell # were programmed in, so all I had to do was dial the # I wanted to speak to.)

These types of cards often can produce a call log for you at your request....or if available, they'll have your call history on-line. You can then print that out, and take to the interview to prove phone communication. The phone cards purchased at little mom&pop type stores do not have this feature as far as I know.

It's secondary evidence really.

I have a 10 year log of HELLO NEW ZEALAND phone card purchases from nobelcom that I sent with our petition. I just printed out that I purchased the cards (re-charged the pins online) but it doesn't say they were used to call him. Perhaps the company has a log of what number the calls went to...i never checked. I figured it didnt matter so much to prove the calls went to him as we had so much more evidence but it's a thought if you use the same company and there is a customer service number.

If you want to show evidence of ongoing communication, I suggest you arrange to communicate in a way that can be evidenced.

I agree with Pushbrk, phone cards alone can't prove a thing. Unless you got the service that Paula&Minya have that registers a log of each phone call made, phone cards are useless.

I suggest you start emailing each other more often and send each other cards or letters through regular mail just so you can have more evidence of ongoing relationship by the time your interview is scheduled.
