ok i been reading a lot here about card production notice so that means their greencard is approve. Today i got an e-mail from the uscis that say like this.

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On May 20, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register

Does it mean i was approve and that i will recieve my green card? it does mention about Adit processing, what is it? i've done interview and biometrics already. Should i expect another notice about the card production thing? can someone enlighten me on this. thanks

ADIT processing is just included in the letter as a standard thing, it doesn't mean anything in most cases, so don't worry.

First there is "Card Production Ordered" email, that means your AOS has been approved and they are making a card for you.

Then there is the "Welcome Notice" email, that's when you get a letter in the mail "Welcoming the new permanent resident".

The last notification is the "Approval notice," that is the letter that has the green card in it.

Congratulations pinay. It is very possible that USCIS never emailed the first notice. They are as inconsistant with emails as with everything else.

Before my card arrived, I only received a welcome notice followed a few days afterwards by an approval notice. They might have changed the order in which they issue notices or at least, that's my best guess...

Congratulations!!!

Hi Mae, the reason it took so long for my gc is because we recieve the rfe for the affidavit of support since my husband income was below the poverty limit on his tax return that we submitted for the aos, they actually gave 87 days for me to reply to them. Actually they are asking to get a co-sponsor, but we never get a co-sponsor. What we did is we waited for my husband's w2 for the current year and it exceeds the poverty limit with just a little slide, lol. We then sent it back 2 months after the 87 days due date of my rfe. We thought it will be a problem and really we was worried they will deny me because of the late rfe but then just a few days after they got the rfe reply, i got my interview date already. So actually its not their fault that my gc is taking so long, its basically me and my husband's fault. But im happy they did not question the very late reply on the rfe.

oh yes sorry, yep that was july 2007.

Congrats to you. When did you file for AOS?

We just received my hubby's green card too! We're very excited. Anyway, I was a little confused about the "conditional resident" status versus "permanent resident" status. I've read elsewhere that you have to apply to lift conditions after 2 years. But his green card didn't say anything about it being conditional--it just says "permanent resident'. Anyone else know more about that?

p.s. FYI, we got the approval email but no "card production" email either.

If you are married less than 2 years, the gc will be good for 2 years but if you are married more than 2 years the gc is good for 10 years. I check my status online last night and the card production is on my status already.
