I just filed our I-130 on May 13, 2008. I have a question regarding the affidavit of support. If i were to go to El Salvador to live with him while this is processing... I understand i would need a co-sponsor. My main concern is about how many people my co-sponsor would have to include in his income? My co-sponsor has a family of 5.

My husband and I have have three children between us. I have 2 from prior relationship and then we have our daughter together.

So does this mean that my co-sponsor have to claim his 5 plus my husband, myself and the three children.

Thanks for reading...

The five plus any intending immigrants and any previously sponsored immigrants (if any) would be the co-sponsor's household size. You and your three children don't count as part of that household but your household would be 5, derived the same way, the family you support plus the intending immigrant. (Provided you haven't already sponsored any immigrants, if so, add them.)

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
Understanding the big picture is priceless. Anonymous
