High gas prices drive farmer to switch to mules

High gas prices have driven a Warren County farmer and his sons to hitch a tractor rake to a pair of mules to gather hay from their fields. T.R. Raymond bought Dolly and Molly at the Dixon mule sale last year. Son Danny Raymond trained them and also modified the tractor rake so the mules could pull it.

T.R. Raymond says the mules are slower than a petroleum-powered tractor, but there are benefits.

"This fuel's so high, you can't afford it," he said. "We can feed these mules cheaper than we can buy fuel. That's the truth."

And that is why we need millions of illegals in this country. One day, they will be our slaves. Mexicans are way cheaper than gasoline. They will till our farms and push our cars.

Slavery is still alive in parts of the world. sigh.... but all cultures are equal.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

They're just ahead of their time. They run their economy with a resource that is growing in number, we run ours with a resource that is being depleted by the minute.

Oh no! You just wrote Mexicans! The stuffs gonna hit the fan now. You know the folks here are really sensitive when anyone links illegal immigration and Mexicans together despite the overwhelming numbers that indicate that particular group holds the most illegal immigrants. :pop:

Whoever they are... wherever they come from... as long as they're illegal, it's all good. We will need all the undocumented when the ####### hits the fan and we can no longer afford fuel. We will have to set up our own version of the Matrix and they will be our pods... our sources of energy.

Yes, anything driven by human energy works. That is the future. I am so glad we have all these illegals, who else would we exploit? It's not like there are any undiscovered countries left teeming with savages :jest:
