If my fiance had the hep b vaccination before but cannot find the record, does anyone know if it's harmful for her to take it again at the medical?

if she allready had it they can take a titer, what basically means they look for the antibodies of HEP B (your body made those because they gave you a vaccin) in your blood. it's cheaper than getting it twice (and that would be called bad medicine).

the MD will take a bloodsample anyhow, they can just test this with the rest. (if he/she doesnt believe you)

good luck

More expensive if the titer shows inadequate antibodies for protection as she'll have to pay for the titer plus the series again. (I agree though that I'd rather have the titer first before getting unnecessary shots.) It's not harmful to repeat the series. Is she positive she completed all 3 shots in the past? How long ago was it? I'd take those answers into consideration when trying to decide what to do. If she didn't complete it or it was many years ago chances are the immunity isn't there and she'll need the shots. If she's positive she did and it was within the past few years I'd get the titer.

I don't think that Hepatitis B vaccination must be obligatory. But I don't know how does it work in Philippines. In my embassy the vaccinations weren't necessary. They are strictly necessaries for AOS when your fiance comes to US...

The obligatories for AOS are MMR, tetanus and diphteria, Chicken pox and rubella.

Good day.
