my husband just received NVC's letter for CR1 say need to pay $70.

my question is:

if we continue CR1 now, and if i get K3 visa first than CR1. can i adjust status in america with K3 visa or i have to go back China for interview for CR1?

thank you and Gold bless all of us!

You can continue on the CR-1 case and either email GUZ about this and delay the K-3 interview, or the CR-1 may arrive shortly after the K-3, and GUZ will drop the K-3 in favor of the CR-1.

You can also interview for K-3, and just wait for CR-1 to reach GUZ and then interview for CR-1, you are not required to use the K-3, and the K-3 is valid for 2 years.

This comes up often over on the China Immigrations board. "A Candle for Love" http://candleforlove.com

You can also adjust status on the K-3 for the added cost of $1010. Note K-3 is not work auth, CR-1 IS. K-3 cannot work, get SSN or driver's license until they have EAD, or green-card, EAD takes 90 days or more to get. CR-1 can imediatly take a job, get SSN and apply for driver's license.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
