my AOS package was signed and received at Chicago on May 12,

and today is May 21, and my check still hasnt been cashed and no letters of any sort in the mail.

I'm very worried, because seems that all the MAY filers got their check cashed in less then a week. :(

things to mention:

My wife is on B2 Visa when we got married, I'm USC.

I did not mail the medical exam i693 along with my package.

is there a number I can call to get some status?

I don't have any registration number I can use to check the status online.

my AOS package was signed and received at Chicago on May 12,

you mean your wife's AOS package...

My wife is on B2 Visa when we got married, I'm USC.

I did not mail the medical exam i693 along with my package.

So she did not mail her medical exam... that might be a reason for rejecting the entire AOS package, as there is initial evidence missing. They will either return it to you, checks uncashed (in which case you add the medical and refile), or send you a Request for Initial Evidence for the medical. For now you can only wait, maybe 30 days (and do the medical!). Then if still nothing happens (checks uncashed, no package in the mail, no notices), call them on 1-800-375-5283 and tell them you didn't receive any notices.

Don't fret. Because most people get news in a week doesn't make it a rule. You should wait at least 15 days from the time they received it to start worrying. My checks took 9 days to cash, but it can be more. Also keep in mind that nothing will be done on a week end, and since yours arrived right before the week-end it could take a bit longer.

You are likely to receive a RFE for the medical. Get it ready so you can send it when they require it.

Thank you guys for your replies!!

Yeah it's for my wife...

if my check didnt get cashed, does this mean that they will have no info if I call them?

will they cash my check before they send out a RFE?
