I'm not sure that we are permitted to do that...

I don't see anyone telling you not to! We have a nice list going on in here, can't see why we can't keep it going!

um, ok. Let's put it this way -- it really didn't seem like Jeraly was joking. Inadequacies of posting on the internet and no telling tone of voice and all that.

This potentially could be a good source of "alternative temp EAD POEs" if people worked together. Just saying.

For Detroit, I've never seen reports of it being given at DTW (which we considered as a POE a few years back when we were filing). I think the only place they've given it is at the land crossings - definitely seen reports of it given at the Ambassador Bridge and the Blue Water Bridge at Port Huron. Not sure about the Windsor-Detroit tunnel.

So did anyone answer if you got the stamp ONLY through land crossing?

Sadly, the one disputing "myth" has not fessed up with the specifics.

I apologize for being a rude so'n'so.

I said I went through Detroit. Whether it was land or air is irrelevant as I am making a point that matters to no one but me and in fact is only a point to make me feel smart and not to be of ANY material help to anyone else.

fixed some mistakes in your post for you :P

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

I think the list is a great idea, but to be really useful it needs data, and numbers... for example, me coming here and saying that I didn't get the EAD stamp at LAX is true, but one person's experience isn't really indicative; what if twelve other people did get the stamp at LAX, but haven't come into this thread? ...if you're serious about the list as a useful piece of reference material, I think you should talk to Ewok, and see if it can be standardised in some way, eg as part of the time line form, so that the requisite information is all included :)

I am sure this used to exist on the site as I remember looking at it, but this was almost 3 years ago. I believe this was under the POE review - there was a section to indicate whether EAD was issued or not. I've just looked there and can't find it - not under the guides either. Maybe this info has been taken down?

I believe (though could be corrected) that getting EADs at POEs other than JFK is a lot more rare than it used to be. It didn't seem too common back then either, but people did get them at land POEs and Houston.

I just got off the phone with a border agent at Peace Arch (Blaine, WA) and he said they always issue the EAD stamp.

I have no idea if all land crossing do this, but I thought I'd add another definite "yes" to the list for everyone.
