I should've said ONLY through land crossings and JFK.

I have heard of no one else stating they got it in another POE airport.

It would be nice to see some kind of thread or guide here on VJ of a list of POEs that give or don't give the infamous EAD stamp. This question comes up a lot and it would be a good reference guide for some.

I would also be interested in knowing what POE by land have been known to give out the EAD stamp? I will be crossing over Buffalo and there are 3 POEs into Buffalo so if anyone has success at one of the borders I would be interested to know so I could cross at that border.

Also, if JFK does give it, I could always fly into JFK but then my fiance would have to go and pick up all my stuff and drive it over and I don't know how successful he would be with that. He has driven my furniture and stuff over but that is furniture and not clothes and personal belongings.

So did anyone answer if you got the stamp ONLY through land crossing?

Sadly, the one disputing "myth" has not fessed up with the specifics.

I apologize for having a life.

I said I went through Detroit. Whether it was land or air is irrelevant as my point was that JFK is NOT the ONLY POE that gives the stamp. Do you struggle with reading comprehension?

I hear what you have been saying in the two current POE threads, I really do. But this thread alone proves the fact that JFK might as well be the only POE giving out temp EADs, because although there are other ones that have given out temp EADs, that doesn't mean they will with the consistency of JFK. Hence the stereotype that it's only JFK, and methinks you are fighting a losing battle.

It would be a great idea to have a chart with land crossings that issue POE as well as any airports besides JFK.

A friend mentioned to me San Francisco has also issued the EAD, but again, not routinely.

But even if someone isn't immigrating from Canada or Mexico, it might be helpful to know the land crossings. We chose Vancouver and the Peace Arch purely for financial reasons, but the bonus is that they MIGHT give the EAD stamp. If we had a more definitive list of land crossings that issued it in might help those with the ability to fly into Canada and drive over.....

Just a thought.

No I do NOT struggle with reading comprension. I do struggle, though with your extreme ignorance.

The POE does matter. Not ALL POEs issue the stamp (and more importantly, issue the EAD stamp routinely) and since there is more than one POE in Detroit it could make a difference for others trying to obtain the EAD stamp if entering through one of the Detroit POEs.
