Just as I leave the post office my fiancee is calling me telling me that she gave me the wrong number on the I-129F and to not mail it. Too bad, so sad! I had just gotten into my truck and by then it was too late. Way for coincidence to bite me in the butt, eh?

It's sitting in a post office right now and won't be shipped off 'til tomorrow. Question is, should I just mail USCIS to the California Service Center (where the rest of the package is going) and tell them what's up, wait until I get my WAC and then do that, or what? And since I see nothing regarding wrong numbers, do I just write out a letter saying "Yeah, we goofed" or do I have to hunt down some complicated form and fill out 3-6 pages of why we gave a wrong number? @_@

USCIS won't call. Fairly decent chance no phone call will ever be made even by the consulate... However, she can update the consulate when it gets there if need be...

YMMV

Right - no one is going to call her, especially for the I-129f. The I-129f approval is for your petition - it primarily concerns you as the petitioner. Once it is approved, they will notify you, then forward the approved petition to her Consulate. The Consulate will correspond with your fiancee by mail to let her know she is allowed to apply for the K-1. I am sure there are many circumstances where phone numbers have changed between submitting the petition and the number of months later that it finally gets to the Consulate. They aren't so much concerned about her in this first round - just you. Her turn will come later and she can then correct the information at the Consulate:-). Take deep breaths now and relax:-) - and Good Luck.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I actually wound up getting the paper before it was sent off - I always figured once a package crossed the post office counter it was In God's Hands... I was talking to my friend about it and he said it couldn't hurt to just go back and ask for it. I did, and it was still there and I was able to get it back. Of course, only now do I find that it didn't really matter anyway!

Thanks very much for your help guys, really appreciated.
