I want to share an example email I found on this website, as a means of checking the status with the NVC. After I received my NOA2 on May 9th, I called the NVC phone number {(603) 334 0700} on May 14, 16, and 19th to check my status and they told me they have yet to receive my petition.

HOWEVER-

I sent in this email on May 13th, got a response on May 20th telling me that the NVC has processed my petition and sent it off to the corresponding embassy, AND gave me my case number! Thank you again! (I forgot where on this website I found this example email!)
