Received Atlanta Interview Date!

Hello all,

I received my receipt notice for our interview date in Atlanta. I can't believe how fast things are moving. I'm so thankful!!

However, I'm wondering if our AP and EAD will be approved before the interview or if they will just wait until the interview to approve everything. We are supposed to travel in early July and I'm concerned that the greencard won't be here in time which is why I'm wondering if they will still process the AP before the interview.

Has anyone else been in this type of situation?

Congrats on getting your AOS interview date.

They do not process AP and EAD at the local offices (like the AOS), so they won't process them at the AOS interview.

You most likely will have the AP and EAD approved before the AOS though, just going by the date you submitted your applications.

Edit: If you get approved at your AOS interview, and you haven't received your AP yet, you could ask them if they will stamp your passport with the I-551 stamp, which will allow you to re-enter the US after travelling abroad.

Congratulations on your Atlanta AOS interview date. Looking at your timelines Atlanta has lost mine for sure or I am filed somewhere in some deserted space in Forsyth St.
