Interview soon but still error on birth date

There is an error in my wife's birthdate (day is shown as "12" but should be "21"...the numbers got transposed). When I submitted my DS-230 packet I included a written note to correct the birth date but when I got the petitioner copy of the interview letter I saw the birth date is still wrong. We are going CR-1.

I could email the consulate about this error but I wonder if this will delay the interview? I could let my wife mention it at the interview but fear it could cause a temporary visa denial. Or we could do nothing and see what happens.

Any suggestions? Anyone have a similar situation? Pleae advise. Thanks.

Once i received the ds-230, hubby sent immediately an e-mail to NVC to complete my adress ( i forgot to put my zip code on my ds-230) and asked in it to confirm a) they received the request and B) made the correction which they did. In your case (btw, it's not your ds-230 but your wife's), and as the BD is needed for background checks on your wife i believe, i would 1st check on her PC if they have the correct date. If there is a mistake too, then i think this is more important. And I would ask at every level of correspondance with them a confirmation of reception.
