I hope he'd have longer to be around than not. I know someone who got brain cancer and died within a few months. Maybe theirs was further along though.

No one loves a political battle more than me but this isn't the time for one. Above it all Mr. Kennedy is a human that will be going through a real trial in his life. This kind of thing hits very close to home for me. I watched my mother go from a vibrant, vital woman to a shell wracked with inhuman pain from brain cancer. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. After 33 years it's still hard for me to think about it. I truly wish him the best.

Global warming aside, I find you, Gary, to be the type of person so many of us here should aspire to be like. I will always respect you for that my friend.

A for the particular type of tumor, a parietal love tumor can be most definitely lethal depending on the malignancy of the tumor itself. If they are able to extract part of it as well as get him on a strong chemo program he can be assured to have quite some time to give political headaches to many conservatives.

Thank you, Gary! There is a time for politics and there is a time for compassion. Regardless of how you feel about a person, it costs you nothing to show some humanity at their personal hardships.

My heart goes out to him and his family. There is treatment available but it isn't an easy go nor an easily predictable prognosis, at least until more is known. I wish him well.

My mother had surgery to remove what turned out to be a benign brain tumor about 7 years ago. I remember the brief glipse into what could've been and I would not wish that on any single person.

I pray he just goes quickly and painlessly.
