STOP SCARING THE POOR GIRL ..JG

SCARE HER SOME MORE. I hope she no fraid a DUPPY........girl, you'll be fine. I did everything the LADIES here told me to do and all is well. The only bump I ran into was the embassy mailing the packet to the wrong address in Jamaica and transposing the number to my US address (which came in a handwritten envelope) PACKET 4. I ended up with 3 copies of PACKET 4 and my fiance also ended up with 2....(don't ask).

So, if you want good advice r u can go pay samdi fi tell u di same ting...stick with us.

********************************************************************************

....when it hurts to look back and you're scared to look ahead LOOK beside you and I'll be there.....

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

I did K1 just because I got tired of the distance between my fiance and I. It was the fastest route and at the time the fees were significantly lower than today. I filed in July 2005 and he was approved via interview in Kingston in December 2005. We were going to have big bash in JA for our family and friends this year but I gave birth to our son on Christmas Eve so we're now pushing renewal back to 5 year anniversary - that should give us enough time to have another kid and for me to fit into the dress I already bought :P Good luck and patience is key with either filing method you choose.

And, it's 6 months. You have 6 months to activate the K-1 visa by stepping foot in the US. Then, you have 90 days from that point to marry.

I know someone else who did the same thing......came on the K-1, married and then left after 2 weeks without AP or AOS. I hear they are now filing for a CR-1. I'd KILL my husband if he had done that to me. The time and expense........over and over again.

Girl, who you telling. I would do the same thing...and the reason...to be there for the birth of his child...which he later found out was not his. HANDS IN THE AIR

Oh damn...right...hands in the air fe true!

Didn't you wed on 2/14? We did 2/17 so we will probably be planning our renewals around the same time

We did the CR1 route. We rented a 9 bedroom villa in the Spring Farm area next to Montego Bay and got married at the villa. We flew the wedding party down and a few family members. I planned the wedding in 4 months. We had about 60 guest. I had a wedding planner take care of everything in Jamaica. My day was stress free. She cost 500 bucks for all the planning it was money well spent.

Why we went CR1 was so that his family could attend the wedding. I wanted his mom to be there for the real thing so that is why we got married in JA. Also when he got here I did not want him to sit and wait for the green card and soc card for months. He was able to sign up for school and find a job right away when he got here. The bad thing is now he is busier than me LOL!!

The CR1 visa took us 9 months. I think it was worth the wait not to have stressful paperwork to do when he got here. The first couple months were hard for us when he was here before schools started and he found work. I also went to my sentors office and had them double check our paper work and then send it in. We used our unofficial wedding certificate and it worked. That saved us time not waiting for a wedding certificate. Which took us 4 months to get.

When he got here we had a USA wedding bash on my uncles farm with 200 guest on our one year anniversary. It was great.

All the best on your decision!!

He is so cute Jonesie! Love the hat. When are you thinking about planning for another bundle of joy? I am so exhausted with her I can't even think about having another one.

Tonks Jax - so is your princess  an old coworker made the hat for me - she was working on a matching blanket but guess it never came to pass (gonna ask his nana to do it and we pick it up from her). I want our kids no more than 3 years apart at the most - IF we even have more. I'd love for Gavin to have a sister (my preference) but if it were another boy I'd be just as happy. The pregnancy was so hard, just thinking about another 9+ months makes me :crying:

I understand the pregnancy being ruff. I had morning sickness all 9 months and had to be admitted to the hospital one night to get fluids. I can't think about it again. Three years apart is great. My brothers are 4 and 7 years younger than I am and we never were that close. I love the hat. That is great that your getting a blanket to match that lovely hat. from his nana.
