Hello Everyone,

Let me share with you what happened today (May 20).

Early this morning I called up Delbros to confirm if they already received the payment I made yesterday (May 19) via Metrobank for document verification. Unfortunately, the delbros operator told me to call back again at 9 am. (As patience is not one of my traits  )

Meanwhile, I faxed the metrobank slip and indicated other pertinent information to USEM fax number. After 20 minutes, I called USEM and was able to talk to Grace. I asked her if they got what I faxed. And she said, I was not supposed to fax it to them (meaning to USEM). Further, she even asked me where I got the instruction to fax the slip to their office. I was lost for that moment. For as far as I know, it is the usual thing that an applicant do is to fax and followup to USEM about the payment and when the case/related papers will be forwarded to NSO for verification. Lost, I replied to her by saying, "It was recommended to me by other applicants applying for K1 to confirm status of document verification." Grace told me if I am to ask, I just ask the Delbros for it is Delbros who do that. Grace also asked me if I already have set an interview and medical sched. I said , "no we havent yet and told her that my fiance called the toll free number also yesterday (May 19) afternoon hoping to book my appointment but was advised to call after 2 weeks because they just got our case from NVC last May 16 and has to be reviewed first. Further, I told her we just go ahead the doc. verification while waiting for getting our sched. Grace advised me to call Delbros again and should wait for confirmation letter upon appointment for further instructions. And then we hang up.

At 9:10 am, I called Delbros again and finally get to talked to Robbie. Even though I received 2 texts from them yesterday (the last one saying "This is to acknowledge the deposit you made. We confirm your payment to the document verifcation as a required by the US Embassy. Delbros delivers") I still asked Robbie about it. I want to make sure and hear it directly on the phone. Robbie (in charge or point of contact in Delbros) is so cordial and he told me they received payment and they coordinated with USEM this morning (May 20) regarding my payment. I also told him what Grace of USEm told me. Robbie mentioned to me the process they are following and they are as follows:

They coordinated my payment this morning (May 20) and will send request to USEM fillup to be sent to NSO. Once NSO received the request, NSO will lookup and work on verifying my documents (which usually takes 1-2 weeks the least, and 3-4 weeks the most) and send the result to USEM after that. Robbie told me, I can call him anytime after 2 weeks to see if it is already forwarded to NSO (the request filled up by USEM). But they cannot provide information on the status of it once it reached NSO back to Embassy as it is already out of their scope. I plead (word used is plead as I keep telling him) to please do what they can to expedite my papers (document verification). He told me that he will do what he can though it is really their SOP. Likewise, he assured me I can go on interview even if NSO havent finished yet or submitted yet their findings to USEM and this doc verificatin result can follow. But I am wondering about it so hard because as far as i know it is also the basis of USEM in conducting interview especially in assessing if i am really single and not yet married or something like authenticating my documents. Im just lost right now. And I dont know.

For the meantime, we do not have appointment for medical and interview yet. We will retry this coming Friday or Monday. waiting for 2 weeks as earlier advised to my fiance is way too much for me to wait. Oh boy, I guess I really lack the patience. But trying may not hurt though.

I texted my fiance and he called me from USA. I told him these things. And what we can only do know is to have firmer faith that no problem will come our way esp. the papers and all.

Please let me know your take about it. Please advise us what to do. Are we going right track? Have we overlooked something?

"Distance makes the heart grow fonder." Well, our heart have always and will continue to be quite fond of. Distance doesn't matter if you really love the person, what matters most is your honesty and trust for that relationship to work out. We may not get to see as often as we like, we may not get to hold each other in arms all through the night. But deep in our heart we truly know, we are meant for each other, the one to spend our life with forever!

Hi dianne and ryan! The USEM will always tell you to call back 2 weeks to review your documents from NVC. As long as you got your case number you can call them back again to get interview appointment. I just knew this few weeks ago though. I didnt wait for 2 weeks. I asked my fiance to call USEM to get my appointment and they gave us right on. I got mine on June 18, 2008. I just call Robbie few minutes ago since I made my payment last May 22, 2008 and already faxed my deposit slip yet I didnt recieved any confirmation from DELBROS. So, Robbie told me that they get my payment. I suggest you better get your CENOMAR from NSO at least you have hard copy whenever they will ask for it. Usually they will ask you that (CENOMAR). I think they already give away the June Slot. Now they are give away for July interview schedule. Try to call them back again. Hope they will give you a sched. Patience is a virtue always remember that. Have a nice day!

Hi there,

With so much things going on now, i think PATIENCE is the best thing to have. Nothing we can do in the gov't system, BUT to"patiently wait".

A lot here, few weeks done with the interview and still waiting for the NSO to submit to USEM the result of document verification. Although , there are some who are still lucky and waited only few days and visa delivered in their door steps.

Good luck.
