visiting Canada

My husband has his US Greencard and Philippine passport. All are valid. We are planning a trip to Niagara and Toronto this summer. We will be travelling by car. Does he need a Visa from Canada to enter Canada? I checked the Candada Immigration website and it looks like it is true. I just wanted to confirm, or is it enough to enter with his NYS Driver license , Philippine passport and US Greencard? We dont want any trouble, LOL! OK thanks! ANy other input about the border, getting back into the US via car from Canada? THanks GUys!

No visa required for green-card holders to visit Canada, Mexico or neighboring islands in the Caribbean.

We visited Canada last winter, wife had no problems entering an returning from Canada with just the green-card.

Visitor Visa Exemptions

Many people do not require a visa to visit Canada. These include:

Actually, if you husband is in possession of his Green card - which from your time line it looks like he is - he doesn't need to get a visa to visit Canada. Individuals who are lawfully admitted to the US as permanent residents are exempt from the need to have a visa. So - enjoy your visit! Since you are driving you may want to visit Niagara on the Lake as well as Niagara Falls - it is lovely and the drive along the Niagara River between the two is spectacular. It is then an easy trip from Niagara on the Lake to Toronto and you see some of the great wine country of southern Ontario.
